Re: Is it time for Kashmir's Azaadi? 59% of Indians Say Yes According to Survey
Then i suggest you convince the Kashmiris who live in Occupied Kashmir, and not in Boston, that they are independent already. I hope they listen to you and see your point of view. I certainly do.
Ofcourse Kahmiris know that their well-being is with India only. :)
Which is why 90% of them want India out of Kashmir.
If you people honestly believed that lie for a second, you would have just held the plebiscite and silenced all the critics of the Indian occupation. The fact of the matter is that for all your laughable chauvinistic arguments you put forward to make yourself feel better, you know full well that we want nothing to do with India.
Re: Is it time for Kashmir’s Azaadi? 59% of Indians Say Yes According to Survey
It’s nice to see positive stories in the international media…the US government’s official news network is carrying stories sympathetic to our independence movement, while the French government’s news network is openly criticizing India’s refusal to give us our right to self-determination.
Then i suggest you convince the Kashmiris who live in Occupied Kashmir, and not in Boston, that they are independent already. I hope they listen to you and see your point of view. I certainly do.
How can you say that Teggy. Your own country was made out of religious indoctrination. Where was the sane voice then. Its the same in Kashmir. Once they come out their religious dogma then they would understand what India stands for.
These people who oppose cultural imperialism of Indians has to look at Pakistan where Indian movies and tv are even more popular than even in certain parts of mainland India.
These separatist leaders will not have any problem doing business with India once they are put in the gadhi. They can eat and smoke whatever the kafirs across the border makes.
There is no comparison between the two situations … India and Pakistan wanted independence from Brirtish Raj because they were occupied lands.
The major difference being … Indians were not part of the British democracy … they could not elect the people who sat in the parliament in UK. They were given a token government which was answerable to the British crown not the other way round.
I have said it before also … if Nehru or Jinnah could have become PM of Great Britian … frankly they would have no objection to being part of the british empire. Infact Gandhi was working for the British in South Africa and only when he was treated as a second class citizen did he he join the independence struggle.
Now coming to Kashmir … it is very much a part of India in all sense… Kashmiri leaders have been elected to the parliament and have been senior ministers in the Union Cabinet. They are part of the democratic fibre of India.
The present situation has various factors … internal and external dimension …
[quote=teggy;6015932Those that fought for independence of India/Pakistan back then were called as Freedom Fighters, then why are the Kashmiris who are asking for the same called terrorists?
[/quote]
No one calls Geelani or Mirwaiz a terrorist … they are called separatists … as for people like Salahudin … he has openly admitted to using voilence as a tool … he (and peope like him) are called terrorists. People who kill other people for this are terrorists… whatever you might think.
Even Yasin Malik … who had been responsible for killing Indian security forces is not called a terrorist now … as he has given up the violence. Hope this gives you a better understanding.

The fact that they are waving Pakistani flags and calling for independence shows very much that they are not a part of India in any sense.
The Indian government should show the world that it is truly a democracy and give the people of Kashmir the right to vote for independence, join Pakistan or join India.
independent of what??? They are free to live whereever they want. I have people from kashmir working in my company and I dont see they are being oppressed.Cmon its all because of religion ..everyone knows that.
They have all the rights as any indian has got.Infact they have more rights than indian. They can buy property anywhere in india but a persn from other state cannot buy property in kashmir.

Before making this sentence you should have tilted your face towards Quetta.Things have become very volatile there.
Baloch Liberation Army has striked yesterday also killing six people,in which four are Pak jail soldiers .
The baloch leaders have warned nation that it is on the verge of another collapse, like 1971
You have been talking a lot about democracy in your posts.
Why should Indian democracy listen to people of Kashmir only? Indian democracy is answerable to all people of India and people of India does not want to govt to secede its territory to traitors.

Waving of flags .................... It could be very well an indication of who is paying for all this .....
If few balochis raise indian flag then will you allow them to join india?
Is Balochistan considered a Disputed Territory or Occupied Territory?! NOT!
Thank you very much.
If India's Hyderabad wants separation because of its' muslim population, then Indian authorities have all the right to call it a wrong and deal with it accordingly, and not a single voice will be raised over why India won't grant its' independence because it is considered an integral part of India. No one can deny that.
Kashmir is NOT a part of India, has never been. Lets not lose the focus here.

Let me for a minute take your point of view about Kashmir being a disputed area.
That is as per UN resolutions ...... the dispute is not only for Kashmir valley it is for the whole of "Jammu & Kashmir" (Indian and Pak too - including northern areas) .... it is not that India has to hold a referendum only in Kashmir valley for this.
So you cannot say Kashmiri's protesting in Kashmir have a right to speak for the whole of Jammu & Kashmir. Keep that in prespective too.

Too many misconceptions here.
What India now calls "Jammu and Kashmir" is not what historically was Kashmir.
The area called Jammu and Kashmir includes:
Kashmir (including Kargil district) and Azad Kashmir
Jammu
Ladakh
Northern Areas
Baltistan
Aksai Chin
Pakistan only claims Kashmir which is including the Kargil district. We dont want Jammu, and Ladakh has more in common with Tibet btw.
