Video: radicals beat girl, 17, in Islamic stronghold of Swat, Pakistan - Times Online
Re: is it sharia?
This is so disturbing. Its like us Pakistanis are between the devil and the deep blue sea. American barbarians on one side and the Talebanic ones on the other.
Re: is it sharia?
yeah, 2 extremes..
Re: is it sharia?
i think Prophet's P.b.u.h wives also used to go out of house for their daily needs. this is ignorance and not islam.
Re: is it sharia?
This is sick...the man should be flogged in public and then hung...IMHO.
Re: is it sharia?
this man probably doesn't know the power and the pain of god's bullwhip
Re: is it sharia?
This is jahaliat.this man ought to be burnt in hot acid
Re: is it sharia?

^ and what about the American leadership?
What about them? Stop pointing fingers on others, when your house is burning and making the mockery of Religion !
Re: is it sharia?
On the thread starter:
Yes this is Sharia, these are Sharia Laws including stoning to death, Hand/Leg Cutting.. etc, actually girl were to be Stoned if Qazi's were present at that time.
The real question to be asked can we implement these laws in today environment.
Just came to office and colleagues has cold tune, this news is all over the media, sucks !

Should we offer our daily "salat" in current environment today? Should we pay "zakat" in current environment today?
As for your claims of girl were to be stoned... that is not correct, she was not caught having "affair" red-handed.
Anyway, this "justice" is only for the eyes, a sort of publicity stint. The girl was only accused, the guy involved is not punished. This is mockery of justice.
Re: is it sharia?
apparently the girl went out with her father in law. if thats only thing she did then father in law is a mehram relation.
talibans representative said she was having affair with him and he has been punished but media is only showing one side of story.
Allah knows what actually happened. media should also show responsibility and tell the whole truth.
i am reserving my judgement bcz i do not know who is telling the truth.
Our lovely taliban’s are saying this not me:
Do we have to behead or spank people before offering salat? If not then what’s the problem?
Who don’t pay the Zakat ? Whats the point?
Anyway.. these are Shariaah laws, i can bet this can’t be implemented today, if they are then say good-bye to the area, Humanity will fight till end.
What about them? Stop pointing fingers on others, when your house is burning and making the mockery of Religion !
My house is burning because some others ignite the fanatics. And btw, the thing these people are doing is disgusting but much much less than what has been done to the people of tribal areas by others. But then again, its not wise to point fingers when we are ourselves slaves of our own interests.
Allah O Akbar,
This is not Islam, these people are not taliban, they are ignorant co-conspirator to malign Islam/Shariah and to paint an ugly picture about Islam which may serve as a pretext to keep this illegitimate ware going on, to win support of masses who recognize this war as a smoke screen for the occupation of strategically important areas in this region.
May Allah Bless Pakistan with a leadership that can think beyond their own vested interests. (Ameen)
According to this particular news item, both girl and the man were punished while the video showed only the girl, so it was irresponsibility of the video distributors to distribute half-truth. Also, they both "admitted’ their crime. I don’t know to what level their relationship was, if it was to the point of “sleeping” together then they should be punished according to Quran.
Salat, zakat are parts of the same religion, why just drop one part which you can’t agree with? Does Islam allow selective following?

So lets start stoning to death, its really easy to say that while sitting in the offices & drawing rooms.

Islam doesn't allow selective following but lets have a Ijtihad on it, we can't apply certain Shariaah rules in today's world, we just can't. They are consider unhuman & atrocities against humanity.
One example can be "Hadood Laws" which were repelled by President Musharraf in 2004, how can a women produce two witness after she got raped? This is just sick.
