I think it is not a big deal but it is just an element of surprise if you see a woman who doesn’t enjoy cooking…It’s like a guy not wanting to play sports. The immediate question is 'why'

I don't particularly enjoy cooking. Is something wrong with me? :(

Yes Muzna, Im frustrated at how these people think. You must have read my answer above. I wasnt frustrated at the first family's attitude. Only this guy and how he was talking. Dont you think ANY normal girl would get frustrated with that?

You are right, the guy is a total jackass. To say such things at a potential rishta meeting was quite foolish of him.
Maybe that was his point. Maybe he wasn't interested in you or the whole thing was forced upon him by his mother. Believe me this happens. Now that you are rightfully angry, khatam ho gaye kahani. If that was objective, I must say he accomplished it in grand style :D.
If it wasn't, then, you have probably met the biggest idiot on the planet. Just imagine what his attitude would be AFTER marriage.
No skhan, that wasnt "the guy". That was his brother. The guy was not in town. What I realise after analysing it carefully that he was jealous of his brother (Im saying this keeping in mind all his words and his expressions, his bosy langauge, his way of talking, his face and just simply my intuition). Honestly, he spoiled it for his brother. There do exist people like that.

Damn, talk about brotherly love. Anyway who gives a crap what his brother thinks, ridiculous that he would voice his opinion that way. It's not as if it's his marriage.
I bet he had an ugly wife and she didnt even love him, LOL

another reason might be that men cook so well that other ppl get interested in his cooking skills, whereas women cook so badly that only their hubbies can endure it
