That's because converts think they have something to prove lots of times. They even discard their native culture and start adopting trends native to Arabs and Desis. It's quite laughable.
It's just that they do a lot of research and thinking before accepting Islam as their faith...And according to Quran, enter into it completely...Not like those born into Islam and yet have a deep sense of inferiority complex and want to shun everything Islamic...
Now those who enter into Islam with body and soul is a noble and laudable thing...But those born into Islam and wanting to shun everything because they think it's more to do with Arabization is indeed laughable...
