In few words, sweety..... Our names can be as the rainbow. There are sahabas and prophets (pbut) from ahle kitaab.... So it doesnt make them "american or western".
It does make sense to have a name easily pronunced and NOT similar to any BAD or dirty word of the local language. It open doors for good job opportunities and might be the factor, of your "file" not getting piled up to the no no list.....Those who are selected as absolute wont do.
