Am I the only one here who thinks it's a bit strange that there actually has to be a thread opened on this to clarify for some people whether or not it's okay to hit children? :\ Ofcourse it's not okay! =(
The incentive for someone to hit a child is for them to be obedient and learn, but neither of those are accomplished because often corporal punishment results in rebellion. Smacking someone around doesn't teach them anything other than that it's okay to smack people around.
You last comments about hitting the kids are on the dot .
Now about the need to open the thread on the subject. I know you know and many other know it is not ok but we do not have the right arguments when we talk to other who belive it is ok , so some of my threads are not opened just because I am naive and do not know anything, Alhumudulillah , Allah has bestowed me with some good grey matter. I open these threads to get the discussion going and help me and others to collect some good arguments when this topic comes up in every day discussions.
Boys who don't recieve any love in form of kisses and cuddles from their fathers in their childhood are more likely to become homosexual in their adolescent.
hareem..i seriously think u r obsessed with homosexuality..either u hate it or luv it..
I don’t really agree with everything Steve says in his book specially with his views on masterbation. I only agree with those views of him which are not in conflict with Islamic teachings because the things these people are discovering now, our Prophet(SAW) taught us about 1400 years ago.
Regarding fathers treating their little sons with love and kindness, every father(specially every muslim father) should learn from the Prophet of Islam Muhammad(SAW) how to treat kids.
This is a famous hadith:
Hadith - Bukhari (#91) and MuslimAbu Salmah (ra) related that Abu Hurayrah (ra) said, “The Prophet of Allah (SAW) kissed Hasan ibn ‘Ali while Aqra’ ibn Habis was sitting nearby. Aqra’ said, ‘I have ten children and have never kissed one of them.’ The Prophet looked at him and said, ‘Those who show no mercy will be shown no mercy.’”
