Is it ok to hit a child ?

Re: Is it ok to hit a child ?

if kids are made to feel unsafe, it is highly likely that they will become violent as they age.

Re: Is it ok to hit a child ?

NO NEVER look at how I turned out!

How do I know , how you turned out , send me some of your pictures.

Boys deserve equal love and kindness.....it is a big mistake to think hitting and scolding is okay with boys.

Re: Is it ok to hit a child ?

Boys who don't recieve any love in form of kisses and cuddles from their fathers in their childhood are more likely to become homosexual in their adolescent.

Hareem what a statement to make! I turned out f9 without kisses and cuddles.

and who said that appa ji :aq:

any research done over this issue ?

Steve Biddulph

Alhamdulilah. But I said more likely and research done by different experts proves it.

I know who you are.

What an extremely gentle reply. :D

I know you have been reading him lately .. specially his books regarding the raising of boys

But how come one of the world’s best known psychologists could say something doltish like you quoted …

I don’t agree with him over this issue …

Re: Is it ok to hit a child ?

Am I the only one here who thinks it's a bit strange that there actually has to be a thread opened on this to clarify for some people whether or not it's okay to hit children? :\ Ofcourse it's not okay! =(
The incentive for someone to hit a child is for them to be obedient and learn, but neither of those are accomplished because often corporal punishment results in rebellion. Smacking someone around doesn't teach them anything other than that it's okay to smack people around.

He has based these conclusions after the research done by him and other experts.

about which book where are talkin here

The Secret of Happy Children series

manhood

*Raising of boys *

I guess Raising of boys as it deals with three stages of boyhood and an ideal read for fathers who want to play an active role in raising their son.
