Is it ok to copy designer joras?

It’s a shame how people can’t resist copying designer clothes! tsk..

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Aww its okay, the first one is so off you can barely tell it was copying the elan...

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Knowing what Elan would charge them for the originals, I don't blame them.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

I think its perfectly fine. Not too bad copies either. Some people just love to look down their noses.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

why shame if ppl r copying the designs yeah designers should not copy others designs but ppl can get it made from some kariger :)

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

unfortunately everyone copies but now we can't even tell who the originators are.... Its too expensive to buy designer and not worth it if you aren't able to afford it.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Are you all serious? That’s the most pathetic thing I’ve ever heard! Why do you want to copy a designer anyway? Be creative and come up with some thing nice on your own. There is absolutely NO justification for copying designer clothes! Such girls are only misleading others to think that they are wearing the real thing when they are clearly not. If you cant afford a designer outfit then just be proud of what you have and represent that! Period.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

'Some people just like to look down their noses'.... best comment :)

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

uhhh because not everyone is a creative genius. they see something nice, they want to wear it, so they have it made in an affordable way. i'm sure if they could afford the real thing they would go for it.

and you're forgetting that the fact that a lot of the stuff in western high street stores is copies/inspired by catwalk/designer stuff.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Not everyone is willing to splash out thousands for a dress that they can get made instead for a cheaper price and that they would be happy with. Let's face it, only people on GS know about designer brands, 95% of people I know in real life don't have a clue what a HSY, Bunto or Karma suit is, let alone be able to differentiate between the different brands.

Nobody cares THAT much about wearing the real thing, sometimes it just about wearing something that looks pretty, which the designers can come up with and the normal high street don't have the imagination for.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

U are lovely.

:) and so purrty..

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Im assuming all you wear is LV, Gucci, Prada, Chanel and other designers...I hope you don't shop at Zara, H&M, or any other "high street" store because most the stuff they have are copies and inspirations...Not everyone can splash out a lakh on a suit. If a girl is wearing a copy, no big deal, unless she is going around saying that she is wearing the actual designer. In that case SHE looks like the idiot so you don't even have to bother to correct her.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Why are you guys making it sound like as if H&M/Zara/Top Shop sell replicas of straight out of runway pieces of big designer brands?

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Forever 21 as well as Zara has been caught red handed plentyy of times...They are abit more careful nowadays. Urban outfitters is another one that gets away copying a lot of smaller, local designers. Google it, I was pretty befuddled as well.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

sweety you may have hundreds and thousands of dollars to spend on designer outfits but the rest of us live in the real world, and would either rather spend the money elsewhere or just wear whatever looks nice without being so conscious of labels. :)

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Lol... it's funny coz brands such as ASOS made their name copying what celebs were wearing which was more often than not, designer stuff.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

I think you peeps have grossly misunderstood that lady's post, why so sensitive? No where in her post she said go for the orginal mega expensive designer stuff only, she's basically saying people should be little more personalized and creative in their choices instead of blatantly copying a designer piece just because its a designer piece? I think its okay to have an opinion like that, no?

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Might have something to do with the way she said it? What is the point of posting photos specifically to bash the people for copying?

Like I said, not everyone is creative enough to do something like that. The rest, I refer you to MadHatter's post.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

why would anyone copy a designer piece just because it's designer? People choose things based on their budget and what they like....that's it. If they prefer something that looks exactly like a designer but can't afford it so they make a copy,. there's really nothing wrong with that.

If a person buys the original designer piece, does that makes them any more creative or stylish?

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

I see we're getting into a whole new discussion here, and I thought I was writing what I made out of that person's post.

So is your question directed at me or person who originally raised the anti-copying opinion?
