I think the discussion was in english. good for you that english is not important. My european and asian colleagues all think it is important.

Pakistani mentalities think that when someone considers english as important, that its about status :)

I disagree... not just women... men should lalso get proper deeni and dunyavi education. There is a major lack of PROPER deeni education, which results in the type of jahilana statements that we see.

proper deeni education would also transform desi jahil men (including parrhay likhay jahil) to become a civilized species and not sexist idiots.

hey did you know that parhi likhi bahus are in now? Like it's a growing trend...especially in the villages and other rural cities...that the girl would be BA pass, while the boy would be barely metric pass. on the otehr hand...in the big cities, BA+ is really good. doctors are the catch of the day.
