For a women to get education. i was talk abt this with my teacher 2day.
wht do u think?
is it or is it not and if it is not then WHY?
Re: is it important??
Its good, and encouraged in Islam to seek knowledge! :)
Re: is it important??
education is a right that everyone has.
infact i dont think this question should even be asked. Everyone has a right to and should be educated this is a third world dehaati question where ppl are still thinking and following the norms made by some CHAUVENISTS damn i dunno the spelling but samajh jaana. Me being a guy yes the girls should be educated.
Re: is it important??
ya, my teacher said that but i said no, they should'nt be
so she gave me this question for my exam.
i know in islam but in Pakistan this doesen't happen.
Re: is it important??
yes...why wud u want ur country women to be illiterate...but unfotarntyl that is the case...most women end up havin little or no education in pakistan
Re: is it important??
parh jain gey to un par bi azaadi aka secular system ka bhoot sawaar ho jai ga ..
lol..
Re: is it important??
Its more important for a woman, rather than man, to be educated because she passes her knowledge to her children. Like they say, Behind every successful man is a woman, and I strongly believe that that woman is always a mother :)
Hussein, Parh jana doesnt always bring about liberation. Hazrat Ayesha (raz) can be called an educated woman, not in a materialistic way though. Did she abuse her knowledge in any way?
Re: is it important??
they can be and can't be
Re: is it important??
at the end of the day they don't need it.

lol
Re: is it important??
no women don't neeed education, we are naturally more intelligent...and if we get education we'll kicked men's asses out of their offices:D
Re: is it important??
what jahil gawaar backwards kind of thinking are you people showing!!
you learn even while you are in your mothers womb, you can recognise her voice, which is why it is encouraged for women to recite the Quran,
every step you take as a baby every achievement you make, your MOTHER is there next to you
some one just said oh a ather can teach too, yes he can i am not denying that, but isnt he also going to be working for a living?
in your chauvinistic view would you even allow for a man to stay at home while a woman worked? no you wouldnt.
my mum says all the time, if i had more education, i could have helped you kids more, those are a MOTHERS words,
and as for your view that any woman does not need education , i can honeslty say it utterly disgusts me how countries like pakistan "claim" to be islamic and yet they are the worst culprits when it comes to leaving their mothers, wives, daughters and sisters illiterate and unable to fight for themselves
Re: is it important??
LOL what a retarded question. Close down the thread mods. Seriously, whats next? "Do women need to waste our oxygen? I asked my teacher that since trees are being cut at an alarming rate, wouldn't it be wise to not stop our development and decrease the number of people who intake oxygen instead? I mean women don't really need to live so whats the point of them taking our oxygen?"
Re: is it important??
To the OP: Education is very important for women; but it’s a personal and family decision as to what she does with that education. She may use it to establish a career or she may use it in her daily life as a homemaker/housewife. My personal preferance is for the latter.

I have to defend Pakistan here:
Pakistan is basically a developing nation and its citizans (in general) live in poverty. Thus, a family must make a decision on whom do they want to spend their limited income educating: the girl or the boy. Since, the girl will be married off it'll be a wise decision for the family to spend it on the boy.
Those families in Pakistan who are well off educate both genders equally.

The question wasn't what will be done with the education but rather should they even BE educated. That IMO is a very ridiculous question.
I wasn't directing that directly at the original posters but to all the peopl here who said women don't need education. Absurd questions dont' deserve civil responses.
