If you are not satisfy or have any doubt about packed food then i’ll suggest spend little more money and buy fresh (alive). However, I’m not sure whether the packed meat is halal or haram, but I can avoid so i’m avoiding to buy packed food.

This doesn’t work in most Western countries, because it is only legal for an animal to be slaughtered in a licenced slaughtering facility.
