Last night what happened was , I received a phone call from a friend and she gave me a shocking news. My friend and her sis got married on the same day last year Oct n their bro got married a week before them. All of them got married from Pakistan, came back after 3 months in December.
Both sisters were working to sponsor their hubbies. Now what has happened to be is elder sis’s husband got shot in Pakistan yesterday. God knows , why he got shot. According to my friend, somebody shot him mistakenly as Pakistan’s current circumstances are going worse eg target killing.
When I heard this news, I really got stunned. Because it’s only been few months since she got married. They spent only 3 months with each other. She doesn’t have enough memories to remember him. Some people say that may be it happened cz both sis got married on the same day which isn’t a good thing. One couple lives happily n the other one suffers. And brother got married week before them . so, three brides and 3 grooms ,may be thy got some evil eye nazr thing.
I really feel sorry for her. It’s an awful situation for the poor girl, as in pk society they blame girl for this. Oh yes, you got married n left our son in Pakistan and now he got shot. Parents were so happy that their 3 kids got married , no more responsibilities. But who knows? Some time Allah puts you in life time troubles.
I am imagining how hard it could be to take her to Pakistan full 8hours flight. And, then she will see her husband dead. Really sad I’ve never heard of this type bad luck thing before. Do you think ,its true?
Re: Is it bad luck to get married on the same day as your siblings?
i dont agree
i dont know how people still believe such superstitions
every one has its own luck and bad luck
some bad things which r written in life happens no one can stop no one is personally liable for this
i dont believe that is happens with marriage
Re: Is it bad luck to get married on the same day as your siblings?
here where i live two sisters got married on the day which was about two years ago now .... n the younger sister is happily married with 2 kids ... god bless ... where as the older sisters husband left her n gone with another woman and has gotten married again ... n now ppl are sayin thut it happened cuz they both got married on the same day ... now u can either call this the destiny or mayb it iz bcoz they got married on the same day

^Lippy......read the above highlighted comment that you wrote. It's from your post. According to this comment of yours, you are basically saying that Allah controls our destiny. If that is truly your imaan..........then there should be no room for the idea of "bad luck" and other "superstitions." People die when they're destined to die. And when you say that someone died because three people got married on the same day............that's like saying that those three people have "control" over that guy's life......that those three weddings determine the qismat of the guy that was shot. Does that make sense to you?
Think about all the superstitions out there. Black cat passes by you....bad luck. Break a mirror...bad luck. Milk boils over....bad luck. Why would one superstition have greater consequence than another? And how come the consequences are not the same? Look at Rabzz's example. How come in Rabzzz's story...one sister's husband left her for another woman. And in your example one sister became a widow? Why are the consequences different? Shouldn't the girl in Rabzz's story also have become a widow? Why should one person lose their life........and the other person just runs off with another woman.....due to the same superstition (siblings getting married on the same day). Does it make sense?

As a lot of people say it so true , it causes bad luck. :(
their parents wanted them to get married on the same day even though my friend didnt wanted too.
Parent's purpose was to get rid off ASAP even though my friend didnt finish her studies yet..meant was to say some time you think of something else n Allah does something else. .
That's why i was so confused n posted here to know.

Look at the highlighted post AGAIN. You are making contradictions. If you're saying that sometimes we think something...and ALLAH does something else. Once again YOU are saying that it is ALLAH that does "something else".......in other words controls our destiny. So, if you have this view...........if you are going to go around saying that Allah has control...........then it doesn't make sense for you to say "it causes bad luck". That's a contradiction. And you don't seem to see or realize that.

well, story is slightly different but result is same ...
According to Hazrat Ali ... main nay apnay rub ko apnay iradoon kay tootnay say pehchna...
You think of something else n happens something else

Tum samajh kyoon nahin rahi??????? Agar tum is baat ko pooray dil se maanti ho k hamaray iraadon k tootnay ki peechay Allah hai..........to is ka yeh matlab hua k these "superstitious ideas about bad luck" are not what controls our life. And that's okay, cuz I have a feeling you're still not gonna get it.
**************Hopefully some people will come here and share examples of weddings where two sisters or two brothers got married..........and things turned out well. That way you won't go around believing silly things like "story is slightly different but result is the same."
You know........I hope that the family of that guy (who died) is sensible enough to not blame their bahu for their son's death. I hope that they are smart enough and more importantly STRONG ENOUGH.......to not believe in such superstitions. Because, it's not uncommon for one to have irrational thoughts or to play the blame game when coming to terms with the death of a loved one. It's sad that the elders hold such superstitious views..........but it's even sadder when the younger generation can't think logically either.....cuz that just perpetuates the backwardness in our culture as well as the social issues (injustice toward women).
Re: Is it bad luck to get married on the same day as your siblings?
Here’s a thread from a few months ago dealing with the same topic. And in this thread..there are a couple of members who have mentioned this particular superstition. But look at Pyaare’s post in the thread…her example refutes the superstition.
Moreover, if a marriage fails (in this scenario)…it could be because the couple was incompatible or other issues…and not necessarily because of “superstition.” Superstition eliminates the concept of individual responsibility and accountability. It can even be the “easy way out.”
Re: Is it bad luck to get married on the same day as your siblings?
ive heard of this too from the baray buzurg in my family... 2 siblings shouldnt have their nikah on the same day as it brings bad luck to one of the couples.... im not one for supersitions but do doubt calling it just that as ive witnessed it happening to quite a few ppl i know. not so easy to shrug it off as a simple superstition for me...
Re: Is it bad luck to get married on the same day as your siblings?
Rv, i have read your comments and checked the other thread too. sos, i was upset n was unaware of such thing that’s why had no idea what to come up with.
After reading pyaray’s post i realised that each individual has its own destiny.
I think its a myth that people think is real but don’t exist.
