Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

Re: Is it a disease to be Pakistani?

i agree with you in the main. however i must point out that the way some of this comes at minorities sometimes what to do in certain situations is also very difficult. you might have heard about the 2001 riots in towns around northern england, the harsh approach on that issue and climate at the time was obviously wrong even as a responce to far right marches. individual action whether verbal or issueing of physical threats leads to a state of what can only be described as anti racist militancy. works wonders in short run but what about long run. work situations pose a real dilema especially when professional relationships are so important and what is said goes that lil bit further then what you thought you had educated a person/group already. this to some degree is true for nearly all workplaces in affected areas! not just where the lower working class are employed.

imagine a call center with 100 workers, 75 white, 25 asian. at break at this particular place, all the whites sit one side of canteen and the asain the other! true story. this is of course a place with no hope whatsoever!
