Lets agree to disagree then. I think declaration that

“Tendulkar is an actor and not professional cricketer”

pretty much sums up my argument. Some people call it cheating/lie, some call it “maximizing tax return”. there is nothing wrong in trying to get as much deduction as possible without lying.

I disagree. Tendulkar’s case is totally different. Politicians and film stars of our sub continent evade taxes to hide their black money (BTW our ministers are more corrupt than yours). tendulkar is doing what corporate sector does, i.e. finding every possible way to get a waiver on its legal income.
I personally do same thing, i try to find every possible way to get waiver during my tax filing. but then i dont have any black money and i only drive a nissan .
