Re: Is homosexuality destroying our family structure?
Homosexuality is haram in Islam, I don't see any doubts left in this regard.
PS @NomiCA you have a completely wrong notion about painduism

Nomi, tell me something I don't know. :p

We won't eat pork but we'll do everything else under the sun you can think of.
Re: Is homosexuality destroying our family structure?
I may sound like a mullani (if I already don't) but I say neither I nor you have the **power **to decide what's alright and what isn't, especially when it comes to the so-called "grave sins" and this is why I keep referring to the prescribed set of guidelines we know as religion. But we all sure do have the **right **to decide what's right and wrong for us, not for all.
A sense of religion however is not universal so you cannot expect someone to "deal with" their homosexuality within religious guidelines.
Re: Is homosexuality destroying our family structure?
you are paindu too PakWoman…![]()
Re: Is homosexuality destroying our family structure?
But bi should work out right?
Re: Is homosexuality destroying our family structure?
For a person who is a Muslim, and believes Islam is the right way, and that Allah knows best shouldn't have a second opinion on this. You can't be half muslims or quarter muslims. You're either in it or not!
@BbC yes we do that, but accepting the truth as it is whether you follow it yourself or not, is different from not accepting something and beating around the bush to suit yourself.

I was just saving my ass to be honest. You cannot say you don't support homosexuality on the internet and get away with it without being labelled close-minded or paindu or having a holier than thou attitude. So I am making sure everyone understands my pov by giving my reasons for not supporting homosexuality which is religion which I prioritise over social guidelines. I am not asking homosexuals to deal with their "condition". If you read my previous posts, I've said I don't look down on these indviduals neither would I force them to change. At the same time, I wouldn't accept this as being right either.

lets talk about the real world, pal. most muslims living in the west don't wear shalwars that reach above the ankles and grow a footlong beard. they carry credit cards, live in houses bought on mortgages, work alongside namehrams, don't pray five times, celebrate kafiroonidooni stuff like superbowl sundays.
your lecture is awesome. and meaningless.

And just because people do wrong things, makes it right?

You are not being 'open minded' or 'reasonable' PW thats what its all about.......
Re: Is homosexuality destroying our family structure?
if people have no problem flaunting religious doctrine on matters within their own personal boundaries, why take them seriously when it comes to affairs of others? the word here is "hypocrisy."

There are also people who are following their religion right... why did you not refer to them... why the black sheep.
Than I'd rather admit that I'm a hypocrite than say my religion has flaws.
Re: Is homosexuality destroying our family structure?
The question here isn't whether homosexuality is allowed in Islam. It's whether it is destroying our family culture. Which I think it isn't considering we don't see same sex couples or families in our society.

true but to say that Islam is outdated in this regard... not right.
Re: Is homosexuality destroying our family structure?
Homosexuality arises mainly due to improper upbringing and moral guidance!
Are you serious?

And you have experience with this? based on research? what do you base your claim on?
Re: Is homosexuality destroying our family structure?
You don't need research, its common sense.
In any society where homosexuality is accepted (i.e. improper moral guidance) it's incidence is higher all the way from the ancient Greeks up to modern western societies. I do not believe homosexuality is nature, it's 100% nurture.
Re: Is homosexuality destroying our family structure?
Common sense, tt? If it had been made clear to them what is allowed and what isn't, would they ever develop such thoughts?
