I think the point most are trying to make is that genes have a major influence on our predisposition but that does not mean we do not make conscious decisions to engage in our inclinations. A trait like aggression is linked to genetics, does that mean we stop prosecuting or helping people who suffer from aggression? Psychopaths have similar genetic predispositions. But some act on them, some lead a normal life. Should we just ignore the ones that act on their impulses that are determined by genetics or what not? At the end of the day, we’re on a spectrum like I said. There’s no 50/50 split between gay and straight. Inclinations change.
I might not be clear here but you get the general drift right? Just throwing down what the people talking about genetics are implying. I got no issues with my homosexual friends as long as they keep their business behind closed doors. Just like I do. I apply the same set of conduct rules to straight and homosexuals.
