It a sad reality that we (muslim men) are too quick to mention wife’s beating, naqab etc etc when we should only talk about this when we ourself are TRULY following Islam and performing every single duty of husband as ordered in Islam. Its Islamic (and logical too) to first mold yourself according to islam and then ask others to do something.

Most of us will be fuming if wife ask for separate house JUST because she want to have her own house but we will be quick to mention “o islam allow husband to hit wife” …
