That's not true, sis. Nowhere in the Quran or Sunnah is this stated.
Allah has given men the right to marry more than one women. However, they shouldn't do this behind their first wife's back.

i find it completely wrong that any man should have more than one wife, as i'm sure many muslims do
ppl choose to interpret islamic law to suit their own needs/wants which is indeed haram
You just interpreted your own view on how many wives a man can/should marry in Islam. I dont think it is haram to interprete Islam personally, but most would disagree with me.
