This is why “traditional values” in a marriage exist! In my marriage I will always discuss any purchase with him. I just think it is fool-hearted to purchase things a person will not use. Saving your money is good, spending your money together is good, being informed on what you expect financially prior to being married is good.
WHat ever happened to understanding what is expected of your SO? Too many people live in the dark, not being aware of what pleases the other. OR,* not caring* about what pleases each other, and going ahead with our own ideals regardless of the harm done in small steps to our marriages.
Small cuts into the foundation of a marriage will eventually topple the castle.
