What was hazrat Ayesha (RA) or the prophet (PBUH) was doing when she was picked up by the prophet (PBUH) to watch a street show? The prophet (PBUH) did not say no to either hazrat Ayesha (RA) nor to people on street.
so playing football is not haraam but wearing shorts is…as someone already said, it depends on the length of the shorts for men and for women…yeah its not proper to wear shorts. So I dont’ see ur point. Playing football (which is a fun activity) is not haram…so y u say every fun thing in Islam is haram (unless u think wearing shorts is fun…)
SOme say that drinking you arse off, smoking weed and having numerous sexual partners is a load of fun... But unfortunately its all forbidden in Islam:(
But then, the most harmless things seem to be frwoned on in Islam. The more strict amongst them deem Dancing, music, television, images of anykind, talking to members of the other sex, looking at a member of the opposite sex as all being haram. So whats left?
if we just think about the fun that we will have in the hereafter…the “fun” that is promised to us…if you just imagine it than perhaps we wouldnt really care about how much fun we have here. Afterall all you brothers (that are steadfast in deen) have been promised hoors. dont you think it’s worth waiting for?
Why would God promise an eternity filled of the very 'evils' we are to avoid in this life, including the most carnal and evil of pleasures? That sounds like a bribe. "*It's evil now, but if you just avoid it for the short time while you are on earth I will make it the most righteous of rewards" *
What does that have to do with spirituality or getting closer to God? To sacrifice on this earth to receive those same taboos for eternity doesn't seem to get you there.
But then if we are allowed such things in heaven, you have to wonder why are we banned from enjoying them on earth? Is drinking, doing drug. and fornication only bad on earth?
Anways, if heaven is all they say it is, then I doubt we would need to smke and fornicate anyways…
But still question does arrise
The point is that pleasure here is short lasting and pleasure there is long lasting.
One who believes and relies on word of God/Allah that there is life after this short life, will have eternal pleasure.
Nothing wrong in getting pleasure in itself by this philosophy. Humankind is given the choice to seek after short time pleasue or longtime pleasure based on OTHER pre-requisites. (remind you, humankind is the only one who is given enough mind and intellect to be able to choose, so no injustice is displayed).
