Is Chivalry Still Alive

Re: Is Chivalry Still Alive

Not always most guys who adhered to Chivalry lost thier battles in the end but they still won the Morla War and History remembers them not the victors.

Chivalry is a lot more than simply opening doors and so on…

Historically even on the battlefield men were expected to show respect to one another despite thier mutual hatred, take Richard the Lionheart and Saladin for example the classic Chevaliers of the Medieval age.

In modern terms businessmen and Women who still have some shred of humantiy abid by the rules of Chivalry sometimes… I knew a Bank manager who once simply took my word for what I wanted and whenever I needed help I could always trust his counsel becuase he never tried to cheat me out of my money. He could have made a fortune out of me but he chose not to.

The key component to Chivalry is honour, trust and friendship as well as what we call humanity.

In olden times few Chevaliers got much out of thier actions, but they were still loved long after thier passing from the mortal World.

Chivalry, Respect, Honour and Decency all sort of fall into the same bracket.
