Re: Is British sense of humour
From the top of my head, i can think of the following:
Eddie Izzard - youtube the lego animations of his comedy
Sacha Baron Cohen - i don’t find him funny, but the rest of the world does.
Harry Hill - ex doctor, now comedian
Bill Bailey - funny and incredibly well read.
Lee Evans - Just look at the guys ears… how can you not laugh!!!
French and Saunders
Jack Dee - epitome of a grumpy old man
Michael McIntyre
Frankie Boyle
Dara O’Briain
Jimmy Carr
Stephen Fry
And of course the Monty Python crew… they’re all still alive and active so they count.

linked to genes?.. Apparently it is! oh what a put down for across Atlantic cousins. come to think of it, IF this true, then what factors diluted to Yankee gene pool, afterall they were also Brits once!

Brit sitcom humor revolves around human digestive and reproductive system,
Its either some rude bodily noises or sex related comedy ..
sorry but that is true .. :snooty:
That is not true !
British comedies are far better in that they are wittier and rely on more intelligent prose as compared to American humour which is more slapstick !
e.g Black Adder ,Jeeves & Wooster , Mind your Language , Fawlty Towers , Yes , Minister, Coupling and what was that Mrs Bouquet one I forget the name …but all Classics ! :k:
that is not to say American comedies sux but its just a totally different brand of humor , one that does not require much grey cells :hehe:

to create a humor that can be understood by people with less grey cells, you need a lots of them.
