Is British sense of humour

Re: Is British sense of humour

From the top of my head, i can think of the following:

Eddie Izzard - youtube the lego animations of his comedy

Sacha Baron Cohen - i don’t find him funny, but the rest of the world does.

Harry Hill - ex doctor, now comedian

Bill Bailey - funny and incredibly well read.

Lee Evans - Just look at the guys ears… how can you not laugh!!!

French and Saunders

Jack Dee - epitome of a grumpy old man

Michael McIntyre

Frankie Boyle

Dara O’Briain

Jimmy Carr

Stephen Fry

And of course the Monty Python crew… they’re all still alive and active so they count. :snooty:

Sweetu: Russell Peters is canadian :smack:

Re: Is British sense of humour

What about Ricky Gervais and Peter Kay?

Re: Is British sense of humour

None of them can even come close to Ellen Degeneres ..

Re: Is British sense of humour

Ohhhh Peter Kay… that guy has me in tears when i watch him… northern genius!

Ricky Gervais - another comedic genius… and has sacred comedy ‘the office’ has been b*stardised by the yanks :smack:

Ellen who?? :hmmm: The Doc Marten wearing dyko???.. she’s funny LOOKING yes, i’ll give you that :hehe:

:hmmm:

That is not true !

British comedies are far better in that they are wittier and rely on more intelligent prose as compared to American humour which is more slapstick !

e.g Black Adder ,Jeeves & Wooster , Mind your Language , Fawlty Towers , Yes , Minister, Coupling and what was that Mrs Bouquet one I forget the name …but all Classics ! :k:

that is not to say American comedies sux but its just a totally different brand of humor , one that does not require much grey cells :hehe:

Re: Is British sense of humour

She is extremely funny. Best timings when it comes to punch line delivery. Aap logon ne achchi comedy dekhi ho to aap ko pataa ho naa .. :stuck_out_tongue:

Keeping up Appearances, Sheyn…

“Bouquet residence, lady of the house speaking…”… :rotfl: Reminds me of my mom :rotfl:

to create a humor that can be understood by people with less grey cells, you need a lots of them.

Re: Is British sense of humour

this thread is so racist, .. truly colonial mentality :o

Just wanted to save this.

how many grey cells does it require to make fun of George Bush !:chai:

As many as required to make fun of Prince Charles …

Did you just compare Bush to Prince Charles.

GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME!

Atleast Charles is Indian!

(You won't get this...but you just need to laugh as it is well funny!)

I always laugh at every thing that you say
