Agreed..but you are talking about occurrences over thousands of years ago. America is only 400 years old. William the Conquerer invaded England in 1st century. Admittedly, there have been invasions by external countries in England but again, comparatively, USA has a larger immigrant population, either through history or as new Citizens of the States. As you said, USA is much larger than England, hence the reason for distribution and propagation of cultures.
