Re: Is a baby really that much work?
^ Omggggg Mubarak Lusi!!! Mashallah!!!
I think she should have definitely taken a few seconds to respond yes or no to you because she made a commitment and asked you to do something for her. It wasn’t just a simple meetup. She should have responded.
At the same time, don’t get too mad at her. Kids are a ton of work and there is no “off” time with them…it is constant and never ending work. At 5 months, her entire day revolves around his pooping, feeding and burping schedule right now. Its not about her at all so she could have easily forgotten - not because you’re not important but because other things end up taking priority at the moment and you lose track.
I admire my BFF a lot…four kids and she sprung back to her feet like nothing happened after her last baby Mashallah. I ask her how and she responds by saying “you have no other choice”…meaning there isn’t a moment during the day when you can completely relax and not think about what’s going on around her. Whether you’re tired, upset, angry, etc…it doesn’t matter…its not more important than what you need to do. She has family here too. But its not her family’s responsibility so a lot of mom’s WILL take advantage of family being around but some do not because they don’t want to constantly hand over their kids to anyone else.
Its not easy, not everyone is the same either and not every baby is the same.
