There are so many factors to count in ..

Your health - energy level - time management - desire - need - financial stability ( which comes in end I reckon)

In my mind 22 is not too young at all, but best to do as your heart and mind suggests. Als depends what sort of daddy you want to be, my advice is not to leave it too late and anyway your only getting engaged not married so 22 seems fine and gives you time to excuse the pun "husband" your resources :D

The only reason to expedite marriage is if you feel you are going to subject yourself to "zina" if you delay it. Islam makes marriage permissible to you in this age of 22. However, Islam also obliges you to obey your parents ... If you feel you are going to sin ... tell your parents that you want to get married in case you end up doing something wrong. If you can't say that to you mother - then the chances are you are just getting random feelings. Mothers will usually say that you are too young if and when they see that you are not stable. The chances are you are not financially stable. Although this is not a valid Islamic reason, but because it comes from your parents - it becomes an Islamic reason.

If you were a business tycoon and have been working for the past 5 years ... then no mother would get in the way of her son.

tell her in 2 years you will be 24 and 24 is old.

22 saal main shadi, at the age of 40 you will be walking with your 17yo kid. Phir uss ki shadi bhi 22 saal main ker daina and yo uwill be dada in the age of 45. At the retirement age of 63, you will have grandchild of age 15

Alhamdullillah i am employed with a multinational firm, having a good pay scale, have my own bike(not car though), recently i helped out my family financially in construction of our home, we have double story house and a room is mine.

I have met with her mum, she have no issue and my papa is silent (my mum usually take decision)

I was thinking it would be lot easier for me as i always support my family but its becoming more and more difficult.

That's how old I am right now.. and I have a 2 yr old!! But Im a girl so...

I think you should have some kind of education and be somewhat settled in your life before you think about marriage. You need to be able to provide for the girl. Marriage is not a joke, so don't just do it because you're afraid to "hurt her feelings". That is no reason to marry someone.
The fact that she's a couple of months older than you should NOT matter!! One of my cousins is 6 months older than her husband and they've been happily married for 10 yrs and have 3 kids.
To answer you question, I do believe 22 is too young for a man to get married since you wouldn't have anything of your own. You need to make enough money to 'ghar chalana'. But if you're going into it thinking of just getting engaged and then getting married in a couple of years you need to do a lot of planning and know exactly what you want.

I have told 100 times to my ami jan i would not get married before at least 26-27, all i need is an engagement so that her parents stop searching a rishta for her, what if she get married to someone else? (God forbid)

In almost every get to gather of her relatives, her phupo chachu mamu come with a rishta offer saying MA your daughter is so pretty in whole family :grumpy:

Anyway this engagement business is not going down well with ur parents it seems… maybe you should listen to what they have to say as well? They might have valid points.
22 is too young for a man to get married.. you should be studying and building your career. The getting married part is very easy, it’s the marriage part that’s hard!! Things like money can become a huge problem in a household. I don’t see it working out … baaki aapki marzi
