Iraqis drag dead foriegners through the streets

Akif,

Undoubtedly there are many Iraqi's who simply do not want their country invaded. I would not want my country invaded. However Fallujah is a special case. From the beginning it has been the seat of revolt.

For the most part Americans skirted Iraqi cities during major combat. They knew that a fight in the cities would be bloody for both the Americans and Iraqi citizens. Major combat will resume in Fallujah, and it will be awful. We did not want it this way, but that is the way it will be.

It is just appalling however that during Saddam's regime Muslim voices were silent as to his attrocities. No one dared voice a concern at his murder of Muslims. Do you think he and Uday and Qusay did it all themselves? Thirty five years of Saddam have left some very bad people there, and the refusal of many guppies to even acknowledge their crimes is stunning. Whats worse is that all of the sudden the "iraqi freedom fighters" have been miraculouly cleansed and transformed into Muslim heros becuase they are resisting Americans. Anything is forgiven as long as you are against Americans.

Seminole...

Good job! But you are not the first American who actually got it. Save your billions.. better yet spend it in the US. Save your lectures on democracy.. better yet fix your own election systems. And leave the "criminals" of other countries to be tried in their own justice system. Stop acting like the policeman of the world. Go home, drink a beer and watch a ball game. The season about to start.

The U.S. would save billions by just sending B2 Bombers to take out the terrorists in Iraq who threaten American interests, perhaps that is the way to go, civilians be damned?

That is so correct. Except for the tiny itsy bitsy point that Iraqis have not attacked any US citizens outside Iraq. Most your terrorists are coming from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia. The first stop for your B2 bombers should rather be in Waziristan, Jeddah, Cairo and Bali, perhaps?

I will leave Afghanistan off from this list, because US has already bombed practically every bombable square inch, and whatever is left, US can't do much about it, anymore.

There is no denying that Iraq has a flux of homegrown terrorists who supported Saddam as well as foreign terrorists such as al 'Qaida. The U.S. will protect it’s interests be it in Iraq or anywhere else.

So ...its a war of interests, on one side people are blinded by hatred and on the other side they are blinded by interests. For sure it would bring the animalistic instincts out.... :(

A peaceful Iraq is in the best interest of the United States, one that rejects terror, one that rejects what we saw yesterday, asking too much?

Right.. And surely killing many more civilians, bombing Fellujah and destroying civilian properties will accomplish that task. US will again become popular in the Iraq. And they will nip all terrorism inside Iraq completely.

Man! You Americans have got it all figured out. Well done. :k:

Absolutely abhorrent behavior.

No matter what...The incident is disgusting. It speaks volumes about the understanding of Islam amongst ordinary Iraqis. Islam does not allow the treatment of anybody even enemies like this.

a man was talking.I heard him.He was discussing the middle east.
he said.they're all animals over there.whether we leave or, stay, the only thing any of them understand is violence.how shall I reply to him tomorrow. What defense shall I invoke.Which God shall I recite.
I am ashamed. He might just be right.Let us then give the world over to madmen.Hurrah for us.God must be very proud of us all.Play the blame game.We are becoming pigs.

one last thought.let's all prepare the celebration feast when the chinese
or the russians return.they espouse democracy don't they?We have become pigs, all of us.

Storch,

Precisely.

The mind set of "it's the Americans' fault anyway" gives rise to an opinion that nothing else is important other than de-powering America by any means possible.

As for all of the ranting about the damage of the sanctions, wake up the sanctions are over! You would think that Muslim countries would be falling all over themselves to help thier brothers. Instead they are more than happy to see if they can get the US to twist in the wind, no matter what price the Iraqi's pay....

You can't help but reach the conclusion that all of the crocodile tears about the suffering of the Iraq's under sanctions was mostly a pile of political crap. If Islamic countries really "cared" about the Iraqi's they could certainly form a cohesive plan to take over for the US, under the theory that Muslims should look after Muslims. Up til now, the UN attempts to "take over" the Iraq situation are nothing more than lip service. There have been no countries willing to provide soldiers necessary to keep the peace until the Iraqi security services are willing and able to take over the task. For US troops to leave now would be to ivite a civil war of gigantic proportions.

So in the mean time the Arab news stations will get some juicy shots of dead Americans to give Muslims something to ease their humilitation.

The Americans cannot and will not let this go. The dragging of dead burned corpses through town is the straw that will break Fallujahs back. The scene to come next will remind you more of Ramallah..... Brace yourselves...

Why do we all become pigs? When Americans or Israelis do piggy things, there is no shortage of people willing to stand up and pass moral judgement on them.

When pigs who are not American do piggy things, we can't stop at just indicting them, we must look at the whole situation and declare us all tainted and responsible in some way. I am very comfortable discerning the pigs from the humans in the case of Fallujah murders. So speak for yourself.

If America thought these actions of yesterday were the popular and supported view of Iraqis then there would be no chance for Iraq, America would leave. It's the realization by America that those who took part in yesterday’s actions are the same ones who have always tormented Iraq, the same ones who have held the Iraqi’s country hostage by the gun for over 30 years. America knows that the majority of Iraqis are good people, who will embrace freedom once the fear of doing so is eliminated. In the end game America is placing its bests knowing that the Iraqi people will choose freedom and peace rather than oppression and violence.

It takes small numbers to cause giant flames and indeed it is more than a small number in Iraq that are fanning those flames, after all it takes many people to hold a country hostage for some many years, but in the end if Iraq is to become something, anything, then America must put down those flames so Iraqis needn't fear them. A peaceful Iraq is a strong Iraq. And this isn’t about Islam, the attacks yesterday show us this has nothing to do with Islam. The U.S. wants to rebuild Iraq, it is in the interest of the U.S. to rebuild Iraq and those who oppose the U.S. oppose this rebuilding, as it will be a victory for the U.S. and they can’t allow that and Iraqi’s be damned if they try and help this rebuilding process. This is a war for Iraq's future, if the U.S. wins it means the end of violence, stability, and Iraq becomes a viable member of the global community, all which suffocates the extremists. If the U.S. loses it means more violence, an unstable future, and a country that the world will leave behind once again, all elements that support extremism.

This isn't about Islam, this is about Iraq.

Americans are supposed to accept that they and the government's policies have been the "root cause" for terrorism.

When an overwhelming force comes into Fallujah, it should be very clear to them what the "root cause" was.

thats right..if it was up to me i would put all of these cowards behind bars for life..they are worse than animals..the pictures i saw in newspaper are sickening..burnt bodies hanging from the bridge..and these mother****ers hitting the bodies with sandals and laughing..in kutto ka koi deen emaan nahi hai!!!

two wrongs dont make a right..stop defending these barbarians..how can someone hit burnt body with a sandal? and enjoy doing it? it might be normal for the ppl in fallujah but i am so disgusted
