I dont doubt your intentions …but before we make baseless generalised comments like “that a higher % of iranians are Godless as compared to Pakistanis or turkish”(not your words) we need to look at the bigger picture …thats all:)

What I meant to say was that indo shias are more reactionary emotional when it comes to their religion while iranis take it easy!

Beta, whether it is part of religion or not should be discussed in religion section. This thread was about Iran, so keep it that way.
To be fair and honest, one should not be condemning or supporting Iran based on their being shia. That was the point.

I said they take their religion as easy so how is it condemning shiaism? 
And ‘beta’, i have heard more crap from shias (badmouthing sahabas, sunnis) than the other way around (me myself) so don’t feed this intolerance crap to me!
Even in karachi, the sectarian violence is imported from punjab and also started due to the fact that shia insurgents with blessings from irani mullahs attacked sunnis (even moderate ones like ahle-sunnat in their possessions). They even attacked our mosque for no freakin’ reason also!

Personally I feel that cursing some sahaba is bad too,infact an extremely revolting practice but what really pisses me of is the fact that some people insist on adding “may Allah be pleased with him” next to Muawiyah’s name.A person who started the deplorable practice of cursing Ali(A.S).It is just their way of showing hostility towards Ali(A.S)

I have also read that Muawiya was upset because Ali in his maslehat didnt capture the people who killed Usman (third khalifa) and Muawiya was Usman’s cousin?
It is funny how shias badmouth the 3 khalifas including abu bakr (whom Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also prayed behind).
Anyway, I think we are venturing too much into religious pov!
But the point still holds that though sunnis can condemn sodis, shias (indopak) find it insulting as if someone speaks against Iran as if we are insulting GOd or na’auzubillah God and its divinity it living in Iran!

let us please refrain from fighting here I honestly dont believe this thread was started to malign shias, in post#75 (I think I gave a balanced view)I outlined some of the reasons why Iranians in the west have this attitude.
I dont think it was appropriate to mention matam in this thread but Brother Blitzkrieg is usually very objective in his posts regarding the sects in Islam so lets forget this incident
