Iran for thousands of years has always been a regional power,they are a very ancient civilisation,Iranians are proud of their history and heritage,from the days of Cyrus the Great till today,they are a country that likes to influence and not be controlled. The two most humiliating defeats for the Iranians came from Alexander the Great and from the Arabs and even today they remember them,they are fiercely proud people.

Shair brother I think the best way to counter anti-Islamic conspiracies by non-Muslims is to be more united as Muslims, and to discuss our differences in an open yet respectful manner.
If a Sunni attacks Shia’s then don’t him the satisfaction and reply in kind…and the same goes for Shia’s who attack Sunni’s. I pray that one day there will be Sunni-Shia unity, but that can only be achieved if we don’t exacerbate our differences or add to present animosities

Malik dear, you have a wonderful approach. See, though Pristine had extreme views, but me and him we had been talking in a very decent manner for quite a long time, then all of a sudden this watcher kiddo comes up and heats up the whole situation. Anyways, i dont even have any hard feelings for him (watcher) anymore, though he should learn how to respect other’s views too and not touch sensitive issues .

The way the US controls most of the world the divide and conquer routine.
Divide the ME countries, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq and Syria all have independent FP.
They are terrorist states.
Egypt, Saudi and Jordan are all lackeys of the US and basically wimps.
They are the best arab nations and get huge amounts in kick backs.

If we look at the goings on in the ME in recent weeks we will see a more united Islamic world slowly coming together. Some examples:-
Iran and Iraq - have put aside a very long and bitter history to work together to build a better relationship. The whole US policy for these countries is based on "dual-containment" i.e. keeping them both weak and boxed in by sanctions. This policy also relies on both Iran and Iraq continuing their longtime hatred. THIS POLICY NOW LIES IN TATTERS!
Iraq and the economic embargo - bi powers like China, Russia and France but also scores of Islamic countries have effectively ended the total economic embargo and flown planes to Baghdad. ANOTHER US POLICY LIES IN TATTERS!
Middle East "Peace Process" :-
1) Clinton meets Assad in Geneva earlier this year - Assad tells Clinton to stuff it!
2) May 2000 - Israel high tails it out of south Lebanon!
3) Camp David 2 - Arafat tells Clinton to stuff it!
4) Middle East Fighting - at Paris and Sharm Arafat tells the USA and the Jews to stuff it again!
RESULT - US MIDDLE EAST PEACE PROCESS LIES IN TATTERS!
Saudi Arabia warns USA of serious consequences if it continues to back Israel - US POLICY IN GULF STATES WILL BE IN TATTERS!
Iran and Pakistn move closer together - RESULT MORE TATTERS FOR THE USA!

It will slowly threaten the saudi's with no economic or miltary aid, and they will back off easily.
For the rest things are going well.
Pakistan needs more trade and bilateral trade with Iran and Afghanistan dealing with security and defense.

Maybe if the USA really pressures the Saudi's this time then it will provoke an Iranian-style revolution in Saudi Arabia leading to the overthrow of the Saud royal family?
When I was in Saudi, I did not meet one SAUDI who thought any good of America, even though they were driving around in those big American gas-guzzling cars. The Saudi's dont like discussing politics but when they do they are still as anti-American and anti-Israeli as very other Arab.

But an Irani style revolution will cause to many problems as SA is the central religious authority of the Muslim world.
What i advocate is the next in line prince, is very very pro muslim, and will do what is best for his people and the muslim ummah.
He counts pakistan as his second home, due to our religious zeal when it comes to islam.
He is highly educated.
Some one the US would not want in the most religiously important muslim state.
And due to strategic location of Saudi ie US troops in the area and port of US ships, they can't let it go anti-us.
If it does it will be a big blow to the US interests in the region.
