Iran Crisis

Re: Iran Crisis

^ ok..you had me till the "fraidy cat yanks" bit!! You do know that if the yanks sneeze, persia will have a flu for the next 20 yrs. so easy does it kiddo..

Re: Iran Crisis

haha, we’ll see who’s dancing to who’s tune when they inevitably cave. Great iran my ass.

Re: Iran Crisis

You mean like it was burning when Iran and Iraq were lobbing poison gas at each other for 8 years?

Anyway, this is much ado about nothing. The latest assessments are that Iran needs about 10 years to develop a fully functioning nuclear weapon. If things don’t work themselves out through all the saber rattling by then, Israel our some other proxy will take out the weapons facilities then. All we NEED to do now is try to handle things through diplomacy and maybe sanctions to cause development efforts to slow to a crawl.

Re: Iran Crisis

^ I think if pushed Pakistan would that for the US. They know where their bread is buttered.

Re: Iran Crisis

Just remember that whenever your country has ever got into any sort of military confrontation with Iran or the Shia’s, it has always come off the worse, and then fled with it’s tail between it’s legs.

Re: Iran Crisis

^ What are you smokin? :smokin2:

Your delusions of grandeur are nonsensical.

Re: Iran Crisis

So that's what we are basing the claim of shia military superiority? I'll repeat, delusions of grandeur.

Re: Iran Crisis

That’s about as ridiculous as asking why Britain uses nuclear power for a significant portion of its energy needs despite being an oil-exporting nation.

Having oil is completely decoupled from the need for nuclear power.

Recklessly wasting Iran’s oil and gas reserves now will leave less for future generations of Iranians to export. Meeting domestic energy needs through nuclear power whilst using petrochemicals to meet lucrative foreign energy needs is good policy.

Re: Iran Crisis

But developing a nuclear weapon program is not. And (as not so eloquently mentioned above) if it gets that far, Israel will use their reactor as target practice.

Re: Iran Crisis

BS. Brits dont have the real estate to exapnd a side street let alone be an oil-exporting nation, they export oil due to capitalism and the fact that they own the assets that are outside Englands (that little floating turd of an island next to a bigger cess pool called Europe) physical borders.
P.S welcome to globalization and the fact that any corporation (provided they that have the moola) can invest and have stakes. Example BP with SA.

Re: Iran Crisis

They should just get it over with now, I dont want to be distracted with Carl Rove and Valerie Plame Story.

Re: Iran Crisis

BP’s exports from SA are classified as SA exports, rather than UK exports. The oil exported by the UK comes primarily from North Sea oil within the UK’s territorial waters, with the remainder coming from the more limited oil field on the British mainland.

Hint for next time: Stop, Think, THEN type.
