Its time that we boycott everything Indian, we can live without hindi movies and their ghatya aalo and cancer causing paans.

Ehsan Bhai, this guy has no idea what he is talking about.
Tribute to all the people killed by cross border terrorism, a state policy of the GOP. The players instead of crying foul, would do well to impress their authorities of dangers of a certain state policy. The franchises have sent a clear message ' Pak players are not welcome' against the backdrop of persistent scheming against India by their Government. Thank you. Do what you want.
Feeling is the same, we can also live without palying the flat track bullies and have done so since independence and produced teams which have whipped your asses. Look at the overall record and cry.
Its time to stop all trade with India.
Re: IPL auction: Pakistani players ignored
Our prime minister have cancelled the tour a delegation was suppose to go, they have cancelled it, good on our Govt.
Inside story: All IPL teams agreed to shun Pak players
According to the sources, the BCCI initially told the franchisees that they could bid for Pakistani players and treat them just like cricketers from any other part of the world. Around the middle of December, the board also assured the teams that it would chip in with help for visas and other diplomatic clearances from the government.
However, when team owners asked the board “what guarantee will the franchisees have?”, the board spoke to some government officials in the last week of December and reverted with the message that the government - understandably - couldn’t give “any guarantee”. The prospects of possible terror attacks clearly contributed to this message.
Re: IPL auction: Pakistani players ignored
Well...looks like it made business as well as political sense for the IPL franchisees to not include Pak players (no matter how talented they were) to avoid disruptions during the tournament...
Frankly I completely agree with the article...there is no way Shiv Sena or MNS would have allowed matches involving Pak players (even if they did manage to get the visas) to go ahead without issues...besides the IPL couldn't ensure the safety of Pak players...If something did happen to a Pak player then it could have led to an even bigger thing between the 2 countries...
I still don't believe that the matches would go ahead without issues coz the MNS is definitely going to create problems with games having Aus players too (considering all the attacks on indians in Aus)...but I think that issue is still controllable...

Lets see if same goes for hockey world cup, commonwealth games and may be 2011 cup ... will indian govt guarantee then? why not now?
Well…at that time it will be the BCCI and Indian govt behind the security of players…at this time it is the IPL which I do not believe has the same infrastructure or backing from the government to ensure the safety of Pak players without support from BCCI…
When BCCI backed out of the security assurance thing…there was very little the IPL franchisees could do…
Ofcourse there is no denying that the whole thing was an implicit way of not having the Pak players over and could have definitely been handled better…Even with all the business sense that India is beginning to exhibit these days there is still a lot of irresponsible behavior at the organizational level…
A statement like the one in Gaurav Kalra’s blog should have definitely been in order…
^ We have nothing to prove when it comes to T20. Finalist and Winners in consecutive world cups.
Why putting yourself under pressure for 2011?
A second successive T20 victory despite lack of IPL experience would be an even bigger slap!
I say screw this concept of 'Asian Bloc' too because time and again we have seen our 'wonderful' neighbours just using us when it suits them like winning hosting rights for World Cups in 1987 (India was not a powerhouse then and would not have been able to stage it all by themselves) and 2011
but showing their true colours and not supporting PCB in it's bid to host World Cup 2011 'home' games in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh cricket boards are not exempt from this blame either. They disappointed us big time.
Presumably all the teams participating in 2011 World Cup w'd be travelling between India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh at some stage of the tournament so why not UAE (less flying time than flying between certain cities in India!)
....and the recent IPL Charade. Regardless of what anyone says here these Franchises were 200% influenced by BCCI and Indian Government and not merely acting on their own.
So let's stop talking bull here
Dont tell me that you think IPL and BCCI are two different things, do you really?
Last comment not @ you funguy!
Re: IPL auction: Pakistani players ignored
To my Indian Guppies, no hard feelings folks. We know you guys are not professional enough. You guys made a fk-up and that's OK. We forgive you. Now go and watch Damien Martyn face Eoin Morgan.
Re: IPL auction: Pakistani players ignored
What about PCB? It's really pathetic that PCB bent over backwards at the wishes of the BCCI and banned it's own players for participating in the ICL. Now BCCI doing this to PCB....sharam aani chaahyay PCB kau.

Known this for a while...I dont know why PCB is hell bent to make BCCI happy....i have been against this for ages....Not only PCB but our cricketers are way too nice/friendly in Indo-Pak games........i dont like that...i mentioned that (friendlyness of Pakistan and Non pakistani players to indian cricketers that is influenced by $$ you get by singing alongside asha bhonsle or cash from IPL) on another cricket forum and had an argument with AsifK there......the whole niceee niccee attitutde has never gone well with my in any competetion (pak_india or Pak-Aus or Pak-SL)...I like to see full M@@@N Beeeh@@n'ng in a cricket game...thats the atmosphere where the only hardest survives...and thats what makes for quality cricket.
Re: IPL auction: Pakistani players ignored
This is also a direct result of killing the competition. Now that ICL is gone, IPL/BCCI can fully dictate terms. IPL would have thought twice acting so egregiously with foreign players if there was still an ICL.
Re: IPL auction: Pakistani players ignored
I said it before and will say it now again
Show some spine and try to live without those IPL DOLLARS
Ghairat kay naam ki bhi koi cheez hoti
Why throw urself into dust before them just to be shunned anyway
As GA already wrote .... Producing positive results on the field will be the biggest slap on their face
BTW my first Post ever since that ominous Last day At the SCG :) (although i thought i would stay away from everything cricket-related)
Re: IPL auction: Pakistani players ignored
two things:
1) as third class as the Indian behavior as been, ppl ike Afridi should keep things in context. is he really upset about the so-called Indian insult to Pakistan (which I don't really see tbh) or is he upset about missing out on the cash? keep things in context...
2) does IPL actually make money? i.e., are the franchises making money?
