we saw an awesome fight for the orange cap last season between kallis and sachin.. both players played amazing consistently!!! credit to both as neither of them are t20 specialists... more so to Kallis who is usually even slower than Sachin..

I am all for national integration. But maybe it is a generation thing. Sitting in front of the radio, listening to Raju Bharatan, Anand Settlewad with Anandji Dhosa as statistician, and the Ranji trophy finals between the hated Bombay team and anyone else was special. During those days, Bombay always dominated, so it was easier to get behind any team but Bombay.
Now with IPL, players probably (have not watched it so just a guess) change team every so often. So difficult to cultivate a team loyalty (at least for this old guy!)

OK - catalyzed by Sharabee, I did check the action (at least the scores) in espn cricket. Some things never change. Looks like Gautam Gambhir (the Bengali from Kolkata) was invoved in a run out?
