Inzy A Good Captain Or Not

Not many were happy when he was first appointed to lead our beloved Pakistan just about an year or so back. Now with over 40 matches played since he has won around 60 percent or soo of them. So Boys and Gals wat do u think?Has ur opinion changed at all. Do you still view him as a negative leader some one who shys away from taking the initiative and often plays in to the oppositions hands.

My personal opinion changed the day i saw him shouting at the bowlers during one of the one dayers played back home against India. To me he is a man who cares, a man who leads from the front as many of his countless innings over the last years shows and unlike some one Ganguly is someone who does not get all worked up and let his emotions get the better of him, he stays cool in the toughest of situation and that is reflected in the way he approaches the game. If you are to ask he has had a positive influence on the team and we r lucky to have him as our captain.

Here is too hoping that long may he continued to lead us with the grace which has dignified his career!!!

Luv Ya Inzy!! You Da Man !!

Yup...the opinoin about Inzi's leadership has started to change. The way, he leads and carry's the side, with his batting is an exact reminiscent of Javed Miandad.

The Pakistani team looks stable under Inzimam...

actually the winning % is 67.5 :)
hoo aah

he still needs a lot of improvement. decision making and innovation isnt there yet. i agree hes getting better,, but he needs to make things happen, not wait for them to happen. just little things. He brought akhtar back for an over.. shouldv been for 2, 3 overs.... also,,, wen he brought him back, what was he thinking?? ofcourse he wanted wickets... and yet,,, there was no slip in place, an edge went begging past the helpless keeper... hes a bit submissive and needs that killer instinct... an attacking approach depending on the situation. Ive seen so many times that pakistan gets an edge, and then they dont take advantage of it... we might get away with it against others, but aussies would kill u if u make one wrong move....

inzamam is a great batsman. Is he even a decent captain, the answer to me is no. I agree with kaka, he just doesn't have the killer instinct. I get the impression that sometimes he just goes through the motion. No innovative techniques whatsoever. As far as 66% success rate, the entire team deserves credit for that. Inzimam has nothing to do with this success.

I agree with Atlanta and Kaka. Though his performance as "Batsman" during his captaincy has tremendously improved, his captaincy still is questionable, it leaves a lot desired.

well, the problem is that we are a very enthusiastic kind of nation ( i didnt use the word emotional)....which means that if a player plays good, we lift him on our shoulders, and if he doesnt that we give him the worst treatment ever...

the same is true with inzi...he won the match from inida, so we are praising him and saying that he has started to learch the art of captaincy...but trust me, these remarks would have changed complete;y, if pakistan had lost the match to india...

speaking of india losing the match, what will happen to John Wright now???

good man to be compared with..but the way inzi has been batting since he has been appointed as the captain..he has become the best batsman in the world according to my rankings...

inshah allah inzi is a good batsman but not that wise captain. Need new captain but pak is doing better so mite not change right now. But a change is must

He is a great Batsmen, but, as a captain, he is a moron. No strategy, don't even know where to set feild for different type of bowlers. He is lucky to have Bob as a coach otherwise .......

he is good when he wins

he is a dum ash when he looses.

thats how all us pakis put it no use repeasting the same Q again and again ..

I don't think so.

well I like what Imran Khan said about him in Pakistan vs India match

He is growing into captaincy, I hope he doesnt sleep on it:D wasay thats his fav past time.

Imran Khan himself needed Miandad for advise. It was actually Miandad who was doing the Captaincy for Imran.

^ I think we are in the khail khilari firum, not the jokes.

kaka jee it is correct the tactical bran behind Imran was always Miandad.

I agree but implementation and risk taker was who? Imran himself only
Miandad was a think-tank.

Yes he was the risk taker and the discplinarian in the team but tactics was always Miandad's.

I remember watching a match in Sharjah against WI. Miandad was not playing due to some injury. WI in reply to Pakistan were crusing along when during a drinks break I saw Maindad rush on to field and throughout the break him and Imran were in deep discussion. It was amazing to see the transformation in Pakistan's performance after the drinks break. I don't think Imran was a great tactian, he was a great player, a great performer, a great talent spotter and I was priveleged to have watched him at his peak many times, but he was not a tactian.

Imran was a great leader and he always led from the front.
