Inzi's hearing Postponed

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

Nicely said!
I think Pak lawers doesn't need more time. If they are asking for more time it means they are allowing Hair and ICC more time to cover their A@@. I think at this stage, Hair and ICC doesn't have proof to support their allegations, and PCB only needs to make sure they couldnt prove what they are alleging.

If They allow Hair and ICC more time, I am sure in this age of technology they can doctor match videos and make discussion inconclusive. Do we give benefit of doubt to Inzi? I dont think so, ICC will use it as an enough proof to punish poor chap.

Additionally, if hearing is takinging place before ODIs then ECB will most likely stay neutral or support Pakistan so that they don't loose money from tour postpondment but once ODIs take place then we will be facing a westren block where ECB will rather help gather proof for ICC to punish Pakistan.

Lets see how far Sheryar could humiliate us!!!!!!!!!!!!

And we may even see another Darrel Hair friend Chris Broad to take over instead of Madugally.... and I am sure there is no secret he or any Kiwi will support Hair.

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

This is a BIG conspiracy. The delay means Inzi won't be able to play in the ICC Champions Trophy - a much more important competition than this two nation ODI series. I say Pak should demand a swift hearing or exonneration.

Pakistan want Inzamam hearing before Monday

KARACHI, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Pakistan plan to ask the International Cricket Council (ICC) to hold a disciplinary hearing into captain Inzamam-ul-Haq’s actions in the fourth test with England before Monday.

A Pakistan Cricket Board official told Reuters on Wednesday that they were willing to accept a replacement adjudicator, former West Indian all rounder Clive Lloyd, to speed up the process after a postponement caused by the enforced absence through a family illness of ICC chief referee Ranjan Madugalle.

The official also said that Thursday’s tour match against Middlesex would go ahead.

"We are talking to the ICC about having the hearing before the first match (on Monday). There’s no problem appointing Clive Lloyd – he is in Manchester," the official added.

It had been thought that because of the postponement of Friday’s hearing the ICC would delay an investigation into the ball tampering controversy at The Oval until after the five-match one-day series which starts next week.

But Pakistan players are understood to be keen to clear the matter up before a Twenty-20 game against England on Monday at Bristol.

Captain Inzamam and coach Bob Woolmer had suggested earlier this week that the tourists could refuse to play the one-day series if he were banned.

The row centres around a decision by the umpires to award a five-run penalty against Pakistan for ball tampering. Inzamam’s team refused to emerge for the final session’s play and the match was eventually forfeited by Pakistan.

The Pakistan players vehemently deny any wrongdoing.

Every cloud has a silver lining. Some good comes out of every evil.

Re: Inzi’s hearing Postponed

Yeah they should press for Clive Lloyd as he is already in Manshister. In any case PCB should press to have hearing before ODI coz after that we will not be in good negotiating/bargaining condition.

and whats the problem with ICC to have Lloyed as the adjudicator? If Madhugalle is not available, get the alternate (who is actally in Manchister anyway) but know they want to play ODI and then want to put ban on Inzi…

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

When it comes to cricket west indian kaalays and goray's of Eng are on the same page, don't expect kaalays to support Pakistan...

ehsan: Every cloud has a silver lining. Some good comes out of every evil

^^ LOL

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

10 million pounds is at stake here for the ecb no wonder they want to postpone it untill after the series

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

Now ICC and ECB are getting scared ,Pakistan should now say that either u should have this hearing before ODI series ,otherwise after the series, we will, not accept and participate in any sort of hearing or investigation.

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

You are both right and wrong.

It's quite possible that Chris Broad may jump in to take control of this situation, in which case we can kiss goodbye to any hopes of a decision favoring Pakistan. However, Kiwis have been at the receiving end of Hair's incompetence in the past, and almost all of Kiwi media have been writing in Pakistan's support!

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

Amen.

Pakistan is in a very strong position as far as a swift hearing is concerned. Normally these hearings are supposed to take place the first day after a match is over if not ON THE SAME DAY as the original violation.

Not only it disadvantages Pakistan to have the hearing delayed just becuase one of the referees is unavailable, but it's also unfair to drag Inzi and team through a mental hell by postponing their hearing until after the series.

I think Inzi and team should REFUSE to play until a hearing has taken place. We won't be mere pawns in their game any longer.

This is aggravating me even further. Ben Chd, hum kia galli ki kuttey hein?

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

Sheryar's and his clones' unbudging and relentless bent over rectum after every puff of his fart is indeed a silver lining in all of this...

BREAKING NEWS

Pakistan drop demand for early hearing

Pakistan have dropped their plan to ask the International Cricket Council (ICC) to hold a disciplinary hearing before Monday into captain Inzamam-ul-Haq’s actions in the fourth and final test against England.

Team manager Zaheer Abbas said that after lengthy consultations** it had been decided Pakistan would wait until after the one-day series ended on Sept. 10 for the hearing to take place.**

“There was an opinion we should ask the ICC to have the hearing before the one-day series to close this issue but since both boards have agreed on having Ranjan Madugalle as the adjudicator it has been decided to wait until he is available,” Abbas told Reuters from London.

Earlier, a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official said the PCB was willing to accept a replacement adjudicator to speed up the process after a postponement was caused by the enforced absence of ICC chief referee Madugalle.

“Madugalle’s sister has had a serious accident and the reasons for postponing the hearing are genuine. Our legal advisers also felt it was best to wait,” Abbas said.

He added that Thursday’s fixture against Middlesex would go ahead as planned.

“We are definitely playing that match and the remaining ones also. The players are now just concentrating on the cricket and winning the one-dayers.” Earlier, ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed said Friday’s planned hearing had been postponed since Pakistan and England preferred Madugalle to act as adjudicator.

***So now we know what was the reason for today’s lengthy meeting between ECB and PCB heads and inzi. ***

Earlier today, ICC decided to delay the hearing scheduled for Friday. PCB initally decided to oppose that, stating that ICC must arrange the hearing before Monday. However then there was a lengthy meeting between ECB and PCB heads which included Inzi as well and there PCB was convinced not to oppose ICC’s decision of delaying the hearing.

ECB wanted ICC and PCB to take measures which will allow the ODI series to take place without any issues, otherwise ECB would have faced a loss of more than 10 million pounds. They got what they wanted. However what favour PCB will get from ECB in return? Time will tell.

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

No favour.

May be Sheheryar Khan will get a british a.kiss.

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

Nothing is gonna change. Pakistan will play ODI series. And after the hearing, Inzi will be fined/banned. And Hair will again stand in Pakistan matches. I don't trust ICC one single bit now. Racist Sons of racist biatches.

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

I think Sheryar just like Musharaf is trying to portray himself as nice guy, and trying to please western as much as he could. Additionally, the revenue they are getting from matches against teams like India, England (due to Pakistani population Eng) and Australia is way too much attractive for them, otherwise they couldn't afford to have such a big contigent of unnecessary officials accompanying team for such visits.

Chairman PCB doesn't give a damn to the honor of the country or career/future of a player like Inzi. All they want is to please ECB and make some money.

Hope Inzi will come out clean even after delayed hearing. I am sure they will still punish him for disrepute to the game by delaying entry in the field after tea.

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

As we can all see that even this ICC hearing is all politically motivated.

I hope Pakistan can get the mental strength and motivation to go out there and kiss some british behinds and win the one days series in a white wash. Shoaib is back and the bowling attack with Asif should be really lethal inshaAllah.

Malik & Razzaq should be back for the ODI and the latter would be solid contributor for the late hitting in batting order as well.

Let kick some behinds...

Inzamam hearing could be imminent

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/cricket/england/5280908.stmInzamam-ul-Haq’s disciplinary hearing could still take place before or during the one-day series against England.

An ICC spokesman told BBC Sport the governing body did not want the charges lingering for longer than necessary. It was originally organised for Friday but postponed indefinitely because ICC chief referee Ranjan Madugalle was unavailable because of family reasons](BBC SPORT | Cricket | England | Inzamam case off until September)
Things are happening fast.

Lets see what happens.

Re: Inzi’s hearing Postponed

Pakistan have walked right into the trap. Right into the trap! No, Inzamam will not come out clean after the trial is over. Duncan Fletcher and Co., will come out looking like saints and angels. After all, they would have succeeded in their cracking struggles of influencing the beloved PCB to light the green signal from their end, and, as always, we have once again failed to look past the obvious.

But an ICC spokesman said: “What we are after is a happy medium.”

Re: Inzi's hearing Postponed

What ICC wants is Pakistan to cool off this matter, where Darrel behind close door apologizes to Inzamam and Pakistan for being insensitive. The more I read news, the more I am convinced that Darrel does not have a solid proof of ball tampering allegation.
