The Christian community in Karachi toned down it’s celebrations of the Santa march and had number of messages to show their grief, pain and empathies with Peshawar and the rest of the country.

Members of Karachi’s Christian community transformed their Yuletide celebrations into a remembrance for the schoolchildren murdered last week.

*Pakistan was still reeling Sunday from a devastating attack on a military-run school in Peshawar that left 132 children dead.
Shortly after the Dec. 16 attack Taliban spokesman Muhammad Umar Khorasaniacknowledged responsibility for the attack, saying suicide bombers had carried out the attack as revenge for the killings of Taliban members by Pakistani authorities.
Just five days after the massacre, Pakistani Christians were not going to let the Taliban have the last word. Dressed in Santa Claus outfits and holding signs that read “United we stand in grief and sorrow,” dozens gathered in Karachi, Pakistan to protest the attack.

You think so? I think Indians and Pakistanis abroad are probably generally more tolerant. Still there are lot of exceptions in the homelands.
Desis are too emotional. A bit of criticism and they will get worked up. If you tell a white person..“Oh i don’t like how binge drinking is part of the culture. Or I don’t like how lot of people leave old parents in nursing homes” they will most likely agree that this culture needs changing.

and yes … it can’t be ISLAM … what else can it be ??? … errrrr … how about circumcision ??? that can be one reason …
oh but no … even muslim women are so intolerant … I’ve actually been to labor room with a soon-to-be-mum … and I’m sure she was crying and screaming profanities at her husband JUST because she knew she could get away with that … surely it can’t be THAT painful … it’s just that these MUSLIM/INDIAN/PAKISTANI women can’t tolerate pain at all … well of course non-muslim also cry and scream profanities but that’s because they are ACTUALLY in pain … they don’t pretend like MUSLIM women … huh …
There is a lot of intolerance amongst Muslims in Europe, be they fellow Pakistani Muslims, Turks or have any other ethnicity. So no difference from the intolerance amongst people with other religions or atheïsts. At the same time, many European Muslims have some of the most adjusted people amongst them.
We have a big problem of wrong interpretation of Islam and lack of Islamic knowledge which is causing much grief and pain for both Muslims hurting each other in various ways and Muslims hurting non-Muslims. If you say something about that, suddenly you are called a non-Muslim or a traitor, but if you say nothing about it, then how will it ever be solved?
