Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

Re: Interview of President Musharaf on Geo Last Nite

Well bhai we have to see how much pardon she got, time would tell. As for why? Answer is simple. She bought crooks in judiciary (CJ, Supreme Court judges, lawyers), crook in media (including many journalists), Qazi Saheb and Western Press, so that government get enough pressure to give her pardon.

As for deal, she was offered such deal even in 2002, when Amin was offered Prime Minister post as representative of Pakistan Peoples Party.

In the end, ask question yourself too, why? You should know that many of her chailay chamchay amongst awam made sure that government get to corner so that she get pardon. She also has millions of supporters in Pakistan who do not care that their Queen is corrupt (question them too).

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

Pakistani presenters just aren't as forceful in asking questions as the western presenters. I could have done a better job interviewing him myself.

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

Pardoning BB and negotiating is a dumb dumb move though..its like making a pact with the devil

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

Nobody miss Musharraf’s interview with Mubashir Luqman on Business Plus at 9:15Pm tonight. I just saw some clips of it, and it looks like *dhoonwa daar *stuff.
:smokin:

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

mubashir lucman, LOL he is a friend of mine and use to be a poster on GS for a while when i invited him here.

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

did anyone catch musharraf live on ptv yestoday, it was a live call in show where people were phoneing in. i also tried it but lines were to busy, it was a very good show with some good questions.

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

Yup, it was good having him around. Where is he? He should come back more often, pass my regards.

I did! And I was on 2 lines all the time too! :(

Re: Interview of President Musharaf on Geo Last Nite

He'll probably explain it somewhat in terms similar to how BB will explain her looting of the 2 Bn, Surrey Palace, Antiques smuggling etc, on her return, or how NS will explain 12 Oct 99, his escape, the disappearance of 'mulk bachao funds', chopper, Raiwind estate issues and so on...OR, perhaps the way the righteous democrats in our 5 assemblies from PPP, PMLN and the awaam that votes for them in spite of their corruption will explain why they still elect them...and are ready to do it again?

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

why awaam elects them is quite a different issue than dropping criminal charges on someone. dont u agree?

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

the best line from that interview:

In reply to a question about his insistence on getting elected by the outgoing assemblies for a fresh term, President Musharraf said it was a constitutional requirement and he was not going to violate the Constitution

such a sweet, innocent & truthful statement :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

I don't know how awam could be held responsible here. The poor man out the street all he wants is to be able to earn enough so that when goes back home at the end of the day, he is able to feed his family in a decent way. When he sees lawlessness, rampant corruption and sky rocekting inflation of even the most basic commodities he only wishes that the government of the day do something to alleviate his sufferings - when NS fails, the common man looks up to BB when fails to deliver, he turns towards Mush, when he falters where else this poor man's gotta turn to ? what are his options and where is that clean & transparent system of governance that was being promised to him 8 yrs ago? he's being grinded in a never ending circle of opportunists & thugs taking their turns to loot & plunder while making shallow promises to bring deliverance.

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

The poor man is as much corrupt as a rich man, only thing is poor man has access to less corruption and is thus considered less corrupt. We have become a nation of corrupts where every single person is corrupt in his/her own way either directly or indirectly. One corruption we all love is nepotism when we do it ourselves.

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

Where is Youtube

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

boo..turns out the interview ads were hyped up. It was so boring, I quit watching in the middle.

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

^:hehe: Yeah maybe it got boring because the Mubasher Lucman who’s usually Mubasher *Alkaline *was Mubasher *Lukewarm *with the President.
Lucman was by NO means easy on his usual attitude, nor in his wild questions, it was the President who clearly won.

Good interview, a slight change of taste from KK and ZA’s work during past two days.
More informal and some personal talk as well.

Good job Mr Lucman! :k:

Esp the closing lines coming from a man like Mubasher Lucman who doesn’t let anyone go easy, were a massive indirect tribute to Gen Musharraf, and also to his own interviewing guts

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

Well put saint :k:

But, the only problem is, it seems the ‘common man’ still hasn’t reached the limit, because the biggest mistake they’re ready to make for the 3rd time is looking up to BB, NS upon getting tired of Musharraf, and that shows that the “common man” is still ready for more thrashing and has some endurance limit left, because the day that I’m waiting for is the day when the “common man” *completely *runs out of his endurance, and implements the French Revolution by the book, getting rid of everyone that has made them suffer, and not look for an older evil to get him rid of the present evil, or lesser evil to get rid of the greater or the greater from the lesser.
Till the day our “awaam” is ready to kick Mush out but also have the nerve to vote in BB, NS in his place and then also have the nerve to cry abt their own miseries, I’m not going to believe in any struggle, nor in the cries of “common man’s” woes, but the day all are treated alike and shunned, i might believe in the common man’s revolt, which will be my revolt, for our Pakistan.

True! Everyone wants to put everything right, except own house and self…

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

I dont know man..when Luqman asked Mush about Ayesha Siddiqa’s book and Mush replied by questioning her integrity, Luqman said “Fair Enough” and left it that. I think that was a bit hard for me to swallow. Changed the channel.

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

Also, when he begain his answer he said to Lucman:
"...She has beensupported by India, she was in India when this began..."
And Lucman said "Yes".

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

yup..instead of talking abt merits of the book, he went on a rant about Ayesha's integrity.

Re: Interview of President Musharraf Last Nite

But Mr shareef (not so shareef )..has been shoved back to where he came from so he is not a problem as of now and the Bonazair still is a major problem..I wonter why we dont have really "patriotic"people that take care of these things :hmmm:
