DUBAI: Uzair Baloch was arrested by Dubai authorities on Monday, on his way from Muscat to Dubai, sources there confirmed.

Interpol had issued red warrants for the main accused of the Lyari gang-war Uzair Baloch and Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla on June 11, 2014.

According to sources, Baloch was travelling on an Iranian passport with his name listed as Abdol Ghani. Sources added that the decision to extradite Baloch to Iran or Pakistan is yet to be made.

The red warrant for Uzair Baloch said that the professional dangerous criminal was born on October 10, 1977 and fled to UAE, Iran, Oman and South Africa.

Sindh government had sent documents seeking red warrants for key suspects of Lyari gang-war to federal government on May 21. The federal government, through FIA contacted the Interpol for their arrest.

The Pakistan Embassy also confirmed that the he was arrested on Monday.

Extradition to Pakistan expected in 30 days

It is expected that Baloch will be extradited to Pakistan within 30 days and the Karachi police will forward documents pertaining to the alleged Lyari gang war criminal to the Interior Ministry.

The Interior Ministry is then expected to establish contact with UAE officials through Pakistan’s Foreign Office. Uzair Baloch will be released ff the documents are not received by UAE officials within 30 days.

That's great. It would be interesting to see what Pakistan can do about him now as previously he was in Pakistan without any consequences.

Um.. any link for this news? I'm not doubting it but just as a reference.

But you know its a hilarious and ironic news. Why? All the time uzair baloch used to sit in karachi, even spoke with many anchors including shahzaib khanzada in talk shows while keep on doing all the killing sprees and other crimes. And our police/rangers never dared to capture him. They were actually literally scared of him.

But well, der aayad durust aayad..

meri bala se manhoos pakRa na jae, maara jae. He is the culprit and should meet the justice. I remember how much his gang terrorised children in Bengali paRa and how much they hate them. An Anger management issue that I observed while visiting these children during TCF Rehbar program.

how inept are UAE government that it issues VISAS to ALL the fugitives in the world to come to the SAFE heaven of Dubai. i wonder how safe Dubai is gonna be in future if ALL these criminals live among Dubaiwalas. :hmmm:

Interpolation confused to hand over to Iran or pak. As he holding I rani passport.
It is easy to get passport in Iran as is in pak

The guy has a patronage of PPP, not to worry. Nothing will happen to him as long as he's under PPP umbrella. Yes, if PPP takes its hands off then its a different story. Where's Zulfy Mirza, he used to call him and his accomplices his children. !!!!

Do you think PPP can off-guard him? He is the main fund raiser,and PPP guardian in Lyari.

Now ,I am sure there was a double -cross in getting him.

He's got an impressive CV. Wanted for 20 cases, including murder, extortion and land grabbing. Time for him to join PPP since the party has been his guardian for many years, and is now itself leaderless. Uzair fits the bill perfectly, just teach him the usual vapid democracy loving sloganeering.

As usual you don't know what your talking about - PPP kicked him out years ago and launched an operation against his gang.

He can join the corrupt criminals in Imran's team like Sheikh Rashid. Or even better a bank robber like Jehangir Tareen.

So you agree that PPP was indeed guardian to a crime mafia, it facilitated violence, spread terrorism, and killings of many innocent people. Zulfiqar Mirza armed the Liyari gang and treated it as party militia against MQM. Only recently, PPP seemingly fell out with a terrorist criminal mafia after all PPP government sent to Liyari for Bilawal Zaradri's coronation ceremony returned empty. He has indeed outlived hos usefulness to PPP government.

You need to get your information right or else it seems you have zero idea what you are spewing here. Operation Clean Karachi is a intelligence based military operation launched under PMLN government in 2013, not PPP! It is Operation Clean up that's indiscriminately eliminating crime mafia treated as political militia, not PPP.

Uzair Baloch is still most suited to join a party headed by the biggest thief in Pakistan - Zardari. Don't even get me started on Gillani, Raja Rental, Rehman Malik, Qaim Ali Shah, Jahangir Badar, Zulifiqar Mirza, What was the name of PPP minister that said on TV that corruption is our right? How many corruption cases were lurking on Pinky Shaheed's head? How corrupt was her regime?

Talking of interpol arresting a Pakistani criminal and handing over to FIA, Is this treaty between FIA and interpol only for arresting terrorists or can the criminals wanted by FIA for investigations for crimes other than terrorism who have left the country also be arrested by interpol? Can someone answer this?

What Im asking is, if someone wanted by FIA for investigation of any different crime than terrorism leaves Pakistan & goes to Dubai to avoid investigation for his crime, can FIA also request interpol to arrest and send him back to Pakistan?
