Abu Hurairah (ra) relates that the Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: Treat
women kindly. Woman has been created from a rib and the most crooked part of the
rib is the uppermost. If you try to straighten it, you will break it and if you
leave it, alone, it will remain crooked. So treat women kindly.
(Bukhari and Muslim)
Quran does not state how Hawwa was created but Hadith does. She was created from Man's rib.
This does not contradict the statement that they were created from a single soul. They were one made into two.
I don't understand how people are saying that Hazrat Adam [as] was not the first man but the first prophet. Why was he then sent to heaven and not other humans? They [adam + biwi hawa] were originally meant to stay in heaven, but they ate the forbidden fruit and were sent to earth.
Why are we on this earth, when Allah knows if we are believers, or non-believers? He knows, so why not put us all in our respective places [heaven or hell]. And don't talk about justice and how people would say "We haven't lived yet, so how can you put us in heaven or hell?", he is God, he can do anything, he could have done that. And if there is so much justice why is it that Good people of other religions will go to hell for eternity, but the worst of Muslims will someday go to heaven because they are Muslim?
Back to the question.
- If Hazrat Adam [as] was the first man created and Biwi Hawa [as] the first women, then we are a product of incest. If we are a product of incest, why is there so much genetic diversity? Shouldn't we all be the same or extremely similar?
- About the dream someone posted. I doubt that the guy who existed 40,000 years ago spoke the same language as the person whose dream he appeared in.
- If he wasn't the first man on earth, then why isn't this mentioned in the Quran? Why doesn't the Quran specifically say that there were people before Hazrat Adam [as]? I mean it is the word of god, and god would know this fact.
Also I want to ask why there are no Jannet Ke Sardars who came into existence after Hazrat Muhammad [PBUH] life? All the Sardars existed before/during Hazrat Muhammad's time. I'm pretty sure there were more righteous and believing women to come into this world worthy of the title.
Philosophy if you still are on Gupshup, want to be friends? We share similar views and questions.
I checked this with my parents today and they said that Hazrat Adam was the first human and prophet. If religion is true then we are a product of incest.
How did we get so much genetic diversity if we were created from incest? Should we all look the same/ very similar?
Next why do we have fossils of human like species who lived 6 million years ago, but they aren’t human? Why is it that the fossils dated 3 million years old are MORE human like than the ones 6 million years old?
Why do the oldest cave drawings start out very simple [just lines] and these drawings become more complex as time progressed? If creationism was true, then we wouldn’t see a progression of simple drawings to complex drawings which express a whole culture Ex. Ancient Egyptians]. This proves that our minds did evolve, otherwise the technologies we have now would have been created millions of years ago.
What about Animals? My father who is a geologist accepts that animals evolved from fish. And it is true [just got into evolution but from what i’ve seen so far, this is true] yet cannot accept humans evolved because of what it says in Islam. What does it say in Islam about animals? How were they created? Were they too intelligently designed?
So as you can see Creationism something you have to believe in if you are Muslim] does not fit in with evolution which has fossils, and genetic similarities between modern man, monkeys, and early man proving that evolution is real.
Don’t shut the doors on Evolution just because it goes against creationism. Learn about it, and about your religion, and then choose which you decide to follow. Allah does not want blind believers, he wants intelligent believers who question and learn.
