RV..............you and me both...Okra is a Jokera!
Yucky!
Intelligence and race do not go hand in hand...that is my personal belief.
Its a stereotype of Asians being super-nerdy people willing to work for pennies. I do not believe Asians are SMARTER then any other race. HOWEVER, I do find them more hard-working and willing to burn the midnight oil. That does not necessarily mean they possess more intellect...its their location, circumstances as well as the state of their economy. They have to, there is no second or third option -especially if you're living in a developing country LIKE PAKISTAN AND INDIA. :)

Ditto, girl! Race does not determine intelligence at all. There is more than one type of intelligence........and there are WAY TOO MANY more logical factors that determine socio-economic success. To attribute a particular societal pattern to race.......is a way too simple.......and way too LAZY.......form of reasoning.
Re: Intelligence & race
Perhaps on a population level you would have a few extra geniuses produced in a certain group, but for the average individual, making assumptions based on race is dumb. Even in my own family, we differ so much in our intelligence levels...so how can we accurately extrapolate to an entire race?
and those who eat FISH...are they living in water???
YES THEY ARE!
LOOK at Bangladheshi they are live and work in waters, very freqently they get fully imeersed when flood comes.
Look at eskimos's, they live in solid but still WATER!
And Yeh indian people, are also like the veggies they eat.
Veggies/pulses also contain rich qualties/ingriediants like protein, cabohydrate, energy, vitamins etc.
So indians can get what all others get.
and what wrong with my simlilies
dnt white peolpeflesh resemble exact that of the pig. rnt thier kartooteh dirty and immorla liek the pig.
arnt kale people, looks resemble that of monkey, dont they act like monkie, always dancing and jumping about har jaga they go.
uff. sorry for being here
(hehehe)
Mamaof3, you are such a blazing racist. The joke is that you probably still don’t know it. You are equating white skin with intelligence and trying to back it up with evolutionary selectiveness. The black man, the brown man, the yellow man (excuse my colour references)
… have all had civilisations greater than the white man has ever concieved. The white man has been scavanger, cave-man, blood thirsty murderer.
The Chinese, the Persians, the Greeks the great Ethiopian empires.. the Ottomans, the Egyptians and so on and so on.
Are you seriously, in all your oriental ignorance suggesting that those communities didn’t need critical thinking?
The anglo-saxon inheritied the earth through the vilest methods that history has ever seen. If that is the trigger for white imperialist intelligence then keep it in your pipe and smoke it. :k:
Re: Intelligence & race
Ok perhaps I am without realizing it, a blazing racist...but can we take a step back for a moment here? Just for a moment.
The things that are heating up this entire discussion here are things that are relatively "new" in the development of humans as a species. The past, say 1500 years - the great civilizations, the ottomans, the persians, the egyptians, the mayans.
What I've been referring to is the time during which we evolved as a species - which took millions of years. There were homo sapiens in hot climates - their skin developed defenses against the sun. There were homo sapiens in rainy and sandy climates - they developed eye-folds to protect their eyes. There were homo sapiens in cold climates and they developed with short stature and an ability to retain fats.
SOOOOO......
My point was that over eons and ages, if the human body adjusts to climate and environment, does this not include development of the brain too? It must.
Like I stated previously, if you look at only the past say 1000 years then sure, race has very little impact on intelligence. But if you take it in context of the past say 15 million years I think it really does. Which is why there is somewhat of a difference...which gets smaller and smaller year by year.
I dont think that this take on things makes me a "blazing racist"...but heck I guess maybe I am. I think heredity is as important as environment, I think everything in your past adds up to make you what you are.
Apologies if I've made offensive remarks.
Re: Intelligence & race
Not to suck up to anyone here.
But it is also a scientific fact, that the more stimulating/problem solving activities/pastimes you engaged your brain in, the more practice you are giving it and the more inteligent it can grow.
Activities such as hobbies, puzzles/crosswords involve creation of new neural pathways in your brain, the same way the physical excersise increases/enhances your physical ability/thresholds.
So it could be that in the past. Which ever cultures survived in whichever conditions they could well have developed and maintained those skills.
Wasey i dont belive in evolution.
No But
Only Jatt
What bothers me, is that your argument isn’t of nature vs nurture, but of how we can extrapolate intelligence from the ratio of ones eyes raised to the power of our skin colour.
You are equating modern-advanced man with MTV whilst ignoring the Native Americans who were slaughtered to allow that dream of manifest-gluttony to be realised.
Also. Let us consider things in perspective, as you wished:
I gave you the Epic of Gilgamesh, you gave me Huckeberry Finn.
I gave you the tablet of Amarna you offer me Mormon.
I gave you Darius whilst you gave me Hitler
(The Frightening Agenda of the American Eugenics Movement)
Let me help you out further:
It truly if for your sake that I suggest you postulate away from historical facts.. they all point towards the inferiority and barbarism of the wide eyed albino types.
Re: Intelligence & race
Wasey im sure my posts have been racially balanced
They say you are what you eat:
Gorey eat pig that why they are pink and flithy charectered and clever like the pig
Pakis eat sheep thats why they are of medium temperament and inteligence like the sheep
black people eat monkey so they look and act like monkey
LOL I can't stop laughing.
It's so true.
You reminded me the whole senery lol
Agree.
All great points Hitchki, for sure. One thing tho…I’d like to remind you that I do not agree that Intelligence is related to skin color. While I was thinking about human development from the time of cave-men…over the eons and ages when skin-folds developed over eyes, some skins darkened and some skins lightened, the rest of the posters are talking about the past handful of generations which is really an eye-blink in the amount of time that humans have inhabited the earth.
Different people in different areas developed differently. They developed so differently in fact that their physical appearance shows their age-old heritage. It just follows (in my mind) that if their physical appearance and characteristics can change and adapt to their environment, then so can/do their brains and therefore there would be a variance in the testing of “intelligence” however it may be measured.
Does this mean that one race is better or smarter than another? I dont think so…Nor does it mean that it applies to humans in the recent sense. Intelligence measurements are for sure racially, socailly and environmentally biased because heck…give the average american white kid a day or 2 in the african desert and they’d likely not survive…that doesnt mean that they’re less or more smart than the african kids who CAN survive, it just means that they’re different.
What is measured, how its measured and who its being measured for makes all the difference…but still, I do think that theres a general difference between races - some races being more physical, some more esoteric etc. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe not.
Re: Intelligence & race
I heard the people who live in the south pole have the sharpest minds.
Re: Intelligence & race
I'm not surprised...they eat much omega oil (fish oils) because thats the food available to them and their bodies have adaped to utilize these fats to utmost advantage. They are typically shorter and fatter with ability to retain fats and utilize them better than those of other heritages.

Re: Intelligence & race
Great question.
I have read earlier posts and MMo3 is not correct at all. I am sorry to say she does sound racist and has given flawed arguments of so called survival and weather change to justify her views and interestingly she has talked most of the color changes of skin, body stature etc. rather than 'intelligence'.
Now the biggest question is how do we define intelligence. Next comes how we test intelligence.
There is no absolute definition and moreover there are hundreds of tests for intelligence. Thirdly, any study which will be done have so many variables among the population tested that the results can be questioned on one or more grounds.
Intelligence depends on many factors and for sure can be acquired (as opposed to innate) through proper training and knowledge.
All of this makes any conclusion based on any so called race, color, place of origin, genetic link to intelligence absolutely invalid.
All we are left with **observation **over a long period and we are concluding that anyone who ruled the world was intelligent. What a misconception!
X2 asked a good question earlier which was not noticed.
The graph was taken from Wiki site I think
Re: Intelligence & race
I read it, but ignored it because it was a ridiculous question.
Re: Intelligence & race
Diwana, perhaps you are right. But I'd like to ask...So race is defined by characteristics that developed over millions of years in response to environment....skin changes, height/weight changes, eye color and shape, head shape etc. If evolution changes these things, then why is the brain excluded completely?
You made this statement "*Intelligence depends on many factors and for sure can be acquired (as opposed to innate) through proper training and knowledge." *
I completely agree with this but as you said, it can be acquired - you didnt say is acquired. Which is what I've been saying.
