Re: Intake of Calories per day
As if thats going to do a thing in helping anybody get fit.
Stay active, stop watching tv and hogging the space infront of the computer. *Go out, walk, exercise, play sports. * *Eat anything and everything. *
the more you are going to sit on your bed worrying bout calories, the more you'll end up stuffing your face with food.
i agree.....i always say.....eat what u want but dont overdue it. anything overdone is not good for u.
Re: Intake of Calories per day
Angel eyes i bet you guys dont realize how many calories you are eating, like a bowl of rice or a roti, candy bar or pasta coudl easily pack 300-500 calories
The pasta entrees you at resturants serve like 5 times more pasta than the suggested servings!
Re: Intake of Calories per day
eggjactly. and its not like at 1500 i'd feel deprived.
especially in summers. i dont feel like eating anything.
Re: Intake of Calories per day
i dont think i look aneroxic and certainly i dont count calories (i know u were talking in general…i think) I want to eat but im just to lazy to eat!!
Re: Intake of Calories per day
Exercise isn’t the only thing to do to get fit, you have to do both, watch what you eat and work out, to get the best results. I know theres lots of ppl (me one of em) who do one or hte other to maintain themselves and not blow up like a ballooon.
Being aware of how much you eat is good, but incessantly worrying abt every little calorie does really suck and take the joy out of everything.
I once remembr reading cosmo, and some grl asked how much calories was in sperm..
thas a little too much obsessiveness ![]()
Re: Intake of Calories per day

ok but if u are eating like 500 or even 800 calories( which is a total exaggeration and i know for a fact i dont consume that much) 3x a day then that still doesnt add up to over 2000. i generally dont snack in b/w....i dont drink anything other then water and milk.
Re: Intake of Calories per day

lately I don’t eat as much and I get fuller faster. everyone said its “love” but if i’m hungry does that mean i’m not in luve? ![]()
Re: Intake of Calories per day
I guess we dont than. I usually just eat half a roti and that too only once a day. The rest i try to eat healty, key word here TRY
Eating less is not a prob for me, its getting my arse to the gym.
And I drink alot of chai and coffee during the day, i think that ruins all my hard work ![]()
Re: Intake of Calories per day
A good way of keeping track of what you eat is logging it at www.fitday.com. In the past, i have tracked my calories and workouts there and managed to lose quite some weight. Diet and exercise are both extremely important when you are trying to lose/maintain weight. No one should really be eating under 1300 calories unless they are extremely petite or small.

from my personal experience giving up coffee makes a big difference. because tea/coffee in effect are addictive plus the milk and sugar in it add up.
Re: Intake of Calories per day
I used to have a large helping of sugary cereal for breakfast - around 350 calories
Lunch would be two sandwiches, say, 500 calories.
Add in a large 600 calorie dinner and a couple of snacks, cups of coffe sweetened with sugar, juices, soft drinks and you’re easily up to 2000.
There was a time over the past couple of months when my dinner would consist of 2 chapatis and a paratha - 586 calories. Add in 2 kebabs for 160 calories, plus the oil they were fried in for 100 more. Add in some kind of curry for 100 calories, a glass of juice, and some nutella on bread for 150 more, and my dinner alone was 1000 calories.
New meals for today under low-cal diet:
Cereal for breakfast - 230 calories including the milk
Tin of fish for lunch - 130 calories
Afternoon snack - a chunk of wholewheat bread, 180 calories
Dinner - going out, probably 400-600 calories.
Glass of juice - 120 calories
Chewing gum through the day - 25 calories ( a lot of gum)
Grapes for dessert - 50 cals
Glass of veggie juice - 50 cals
1200 - 1400 cals.
Re: Intake of Calories per day
try switching to green tea…it’s just as soothing and packed with antioxidants.

i eat what i want for breakfast.....with moderation of course (not packed with sugar). Whatever u eat in the morning is generally burned off by the end of the day. However you should def watch what u eat at night.
Re: Intake of Calories per day
Its always best to overestimate :D
a 200 calorie meal, i always estimate it to be ...around 350-450, that way mentally I don't eat more.
but aside from that, you do not have to worry about this at all, eat what you want, whatever you want, but make sure you workout just as much, and you work it out of your system.
You cannot eat anything, if you don't plan on working out. But if you do become active, eat whatever you want, keep it in a limit tho.
Never satiate yourself.

exactly.....unless you are overweight to begin with....that wont work.
