Re: Inside the heart of non-believers

The reason why you think this is a battle of mere opinions is because you have not studied or do not wish to bring the study evidence in to this conversation. For the historical map of how Christianity formed you need to see that there were huge dogmatic struggles in the first 4 centuries where different ideas of God were being presented. The people who won were the Romans … They won by various means which involved oppression, persecution, conversion of one of their emperors, and a syncretisation of the dominant beliefs … Islam had a creed from inside out, the belief system developed before the life order … Christianity had its creed bolted on … If you could see that as clearly as those who have done the research and you were honestly looking for truth then this argument of one opinion vs another would not be raised as a valid argument … It is flawed …
For those people who think this is a matter of my opinion vs his and hence a stalemate … Are choosing not to resort to deeper questions … Those that will unravel the stronger arguments and stronger more consistent, more flowing and balanced arguments … But by choosing not to go to that level … They are in fact choosing to “cover” their own inner eyes afraid of deducing a truth that might be different to their whims … As long as they feel unsure then they are comforted in the fact that it is all opinion … But on that Day of Judgement we will be asked … Why we rejected? … Why we didn’t seek Him out? … Why we did not choose to find the truth? … It will not be enough to say … Oh it was all so confusing … Or to us it just looked like one opinion vs other equally flawed opinions … If we don’t even take that step to investigate the available religions comparatively in depth then we have failed to give any of them due diligence.
