well danish and gizzy, everything else (prices, salaries) are prolly according to that in ur country. Wht i m saying is there must be a relation b/w ur salaries and the prices of goods which actually doesnt make u think that the gas prices at ur location is expensive.
Our country has been targeted with inflation, fabi do u think it will get to $4.00 :(. I have to fill my tank after every other day now 
i m thinking of buying a hybrid cars now

Denmark has around 62% state tax on petrol. This means that the petrol price for refined petrol is always 62% higher then the current market price. For cars it gets even more fun. For new cars there is a state tax of 180% on the current market price for the car

And oh yeah we have a income tax rate that is between 48%-59% depending on how much money u make. The more u earn the higher the tax rate.

Good question… I will be moving to sweden soon. Malmoe is just 40 km away from here 
They have 35% income tax, cheap cars (so i’ll be able to buy me a nice german car 
and eh..well really clean and tasty water aswell

it is insane :( and it will get only worse. Remember when we were all outraged at 2.50 / gal and how that became a norm in 2-3 months time. Well now 3 bucks will be a norm soon :(

I can't believe petrol is so cheap in America. Back in the Old Country (the UK), it's nearly twice that much.
Of course, the extra cost is all tax and pays for all the toll-free road systems, health care, pensions, hugely discounted university education, etc etc etc and all the stuff that makes sure that in the UK, ones lack of wealth does not leave one being deprived.
