This is insanity! This guy I know has a V-8 ford truck for which he spend $100 a week on gas alone excluding tolls on the George Washington bridge and the Lincoln and Holland tunnels to come to NYC.

6 cylinders? I have a 4 cylinder honda accord which I am thinking of trading in for a Civic/civic hybrid or something similar for Toyota.

The higher gas prices are becoming a fact in US right now. We were all made when gas touched $2 and now it's $3. I guess this will be norm soon. But, $3 is definitely hurting people since it affects other expenses that won't be made.

My Dad told me that when he first came to America, the gas prices were only like 30 cents per gallon or something 
They’re around like $3.10 here.
Hopefully they’ll be back down when I start driving.

My Accord is a V6 and it costs me about $ 40 to fill the tank every week. The gas price in New Orleans is only $ 2.77 per gallon

How many miles/day do you drive though, normally? New Orleans is not that spread out.
Even $2.80 kills you if u’r in Houston or Dallas, cuz the metro isn’t that good, u’ve got to have your own transportation down here.

Another question for hybrid car owners, did you guys check the price of new rechargeable batteries for your toys? You’d need one when the existing one can’t hold any charge in it.
