So sad. As hurt and humiliated as you feel, the rejection and pain is ten times worse for your husband. Just try to be there for him. He is probably feeling unwanted and worthless, to be treated like this by his own immediate family. Keep him around people who value him and recognize his strengths to help him from succumbing to depression.

This stuff freaks me out about marriage you know. Damned if we do get married to someone and Damned if we don't. Ya Rabb il Aalameen** have mercy on us women folk** who have good intentions and still get berated either which way we turn Ameen.
It was a woman who was creating the drama in the first place.

Astagfirullah, how people can swear such bad words infront of their family especially wife, daughters.
Keep supporting your husband, dont make your parents upset by sharing each and eveything hopefully your patience will get rewarded.

FIL let us the choice before our wedding but he preferred us to live appart because of his bad moods, he said so himself. Husband gave as much time as he could even after work altough we come home late,and he often has work to do in thé evening at home, yet FIL said "everybody works do you think you're the CEO or something? I also worked my whole life"
how can he even compare himself to Husband, he's a consultant and FIL used to sell make up at the market and that only for a few years then he stopped working. FIL's own father was back home and didnt want him to go to Europe but he left anyway.
They'd never have done what they did if Husband hadn't cleared all their debts and paid Sil's wedding.

Yeah Husband was supposed to leave much earlier cause he was travelling outside the country for work but he didnt wake up on time.

I could only read about 1/2 of this. I don't see why you're making their issue into your own. They don't like how you guys are and want you to change or will cut you out of their lives. For how long will you pretend to be something you're not? When will you come into your own person? When will you honor your own soul? Good riddance to bad rubbish! Go enjoy life with the free time you have now.

I can't believe how incredibly PETTY they are being and to end a relationship with their own son and DIL over the most ridiculous accusations. OP - I think you were WAY too nice to your in-laws. You had NOTHING to apologize for. These people are complete whack-jobs! You are better off without them. I swear, I can't believe some of the crazy in-law stories that I have read recently on gs. I seriously cannot even fathom how people like this exist and still sleep at night! I'm speechless. Please distance yourself permanently from your in-laws. They are TOXIC!
