Inferiority Complex

Re: Inferiority Complex

I think aahmed has made some very good points

*I understand what Hareem means about designer things but my thoughts take a little bit of a different path, I feel that if you can afford a $500 Coach purse, then you can also afford to give $500 to charity as mentioned in the above verse, give from the good things you earn. I feel that if people are wealthy and spend on extravagant things, that's fine, as long as they don't forget their charitable responsibilities to their families, friends, neighbors and the traveling wanderer. Great wealth is a source of test for us, God wants to see (of course He knows how we will react, it's all about free will) how we deal with our wealth, do we hoard or do we spend on ourselves and on charity?

Solomon was given a kingship never attained by anyone else, he had more wealth than today's "richest people in the world". He gave to charity, he spent wisely, and he was a great messenger. Qaroon on the other hand, had similar wealth, he hoarded it, nothing good comes from hoarding*.
