Agree to that but he did not handle Gujarat riots in such a way that media could admire him instead of bashing his handling of those riots. He goofed big time.

Yes.It seems he got carried away with V.H.P and others.The riot could have stopped had there been vigil.The reprisals for Godhra attack started very soon at Anand railway station A major tragedy could have been averted.
