Re: India's mars mission countdown...
Nice strategy by the Science crowd to get everyone on board the sustainability bandwagon.

Re: India's mars mission countdown...
You are confused yet commenting on others? A person is a spiritual without believe in unseen or super natural, is either a patient or "confused" :p Why dont you reply my question, and explain what you mean by "being spiritual"?
There is no one definition for that. The way I see it, it's personal psychological growth. It's about finding inner peace and wanting to know the answers to the big questions whether it's through religion or personal experiences. For someone like me, it's about being open to new experiences and not limiting myself by my own judgmental nature. Whatever I need to know will come to me. I am not a patient and I am not confused. Spirituality has been separated from religion quite a long time ago.
This is my last response to you because you just made me go completely off topic. :p
Re: India’s mars mission countdown…
"It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity".
The statement maybe (or maybe not) falsely attributed to Einstein, but it does resonate my thoughts throughout this thread…applicable to current days world affair.
If true…then great minds think alike.

@queer: Nice try. There is no need to talk about religion it is after-all a ‘scientific’ discussion.
If you still insist, then this means you find no difference between religion and science. ha..ha
And then I will agree with that (amusingly)… since I have said few times before, that the extremist, evil and selfish scientists are no better than religious extremists including their followers who follow these scientists as ‘prophets’.
Two parallel or partially superimposing but similar followers.
Whatever comes out of a scientist mouth is taken as THE TRUTH and people follow them blindly without question by those who think science has ultimate answer.
There is a so called scientist from England? who said Human must abandon Earth since something drastic is coming…creating fear and justifying space travel. ![]()
Going on Mars and sending picture…really?
It is similar to the man who left his sick wife and hungry children at home…and he sends picture from his trip from Mount Everest…and writes them… how he discovered new way to have campfire up there!
Lastly: @ TLK
World Wars brought few new inventions.
Lets applaud World Wars or start new World Wars…and kill millions of human being.
Shall we?

don't respond its your choice.
well, I am not being jugdmental nor it seems you are open to validate your ideas. if you knew a bit of theory of determinism that scientists believe in you might not have included inner peace etc. in your definition. otherwise of determinism is the possibility that unseen control us.
The reason why i quoted you is, if you have an ambiguous definition that not all people would agree to, how come you stop other talking heavan and hereafter?
To you its all about our choice yet you tend to counter the idea of belief in life after death.
Re: India's mars mission countdown...
^I don't have time nor patience to explain something very simple to you. Spirituality is something everyone experiences differently. Common sense. It is also for the same reason I believe a scientist's belief system doesn't affect his work. If anything, it may help.

I am having a hard time understanding this post. Is it due to lack of religiosity or spirituality?
Re: India's mars mission countdown...
I know the discussion has drifted away from the topic...but no matter how useless this venture seems to the world, I'm still happy for the Indian nation. I see them getting treated like dirt in Gulf so any step towards achieving popularity and influential status should be seen in positive light.
Re: India's mars mission countdown...
How dare you bring us back on topic?

It is partly because of Indians themselves.
The same Indians are treated with high respect and dignity in South East Asia.
It is because of various factors.Political reasons,Indians self conduct etc.

I said this two years ago approximately. You just keep on progressing and growing. Night and day difference from 4 years ago.
You rock.
