And if you consider all Indian subcontinent then you are wrong. The land belongs to the people who inhabit it and who have been living here for centuries. If chandar gupt moriya had once conquered all India it does not become your motherland. India for most part of its history consisted of small independant states.
No, you can't define motherland based on boundary created in 1947.
You have to understand the culture (which may be impossible for you now to understand) which existed in this region much much before pagan arab cult of Islam and radical Umma-Ummi ideology was forced here.

No need to go back till Chandragupta and Vikramaditya, even during arrival of British East India company, India was having many local rulers and Kingdoms.
But, think, what happened to all of them....after 1947...all merged in
one Republic of India....except now called Pakistan-- result of radical ummah-ummi ideology.
