*For example know what a Lingam means in Sanskrit in case you have concluded from hate sites that its a penis.

Ok lets think of it this way. Suppose there's a pagan religion whose origins are quite old. Over a period of thousands of years, a lot of stuff (sometimes nasty) gets into its scriptures. ** At that time, when everyone was illiterate, uneducated and uncivilised except for a few, worshipping the penis must not have looked disgusting. People wouldn't have seen anything wrong with that. **
Then centuries later, all of a sudden we are in the 21st Century and a substantial portion of the population is not only educated, but has exposure to far more civilised and decent religions. ** But to one's horror, those people, instead of dissassociating themselves with that pagan religion seem to cling on to it because of their hatred to the true religion. ** So, now they are in a Muslim forum, discussing with Muslims about their religion.
** Do you then expect them to actually accept in such a situation that their religion calls for the worship of the penis? NO.. ** If they had a little, microscopic amount of a decency, they would have left that religion. *But if they insist to cling on to it, they are OBVIOUSLY going to try to interpret it in a different manner and pretend that the worship of penis is actually something else. *
** I mean, IS THERE ANY THING ELSE THEY CAN DO? THEY HAVE NO OPTION BUT THAT. It is so embarassing otherwise. **
I mean you have a person belonging to a religion that calls for the worship of the penis, and that person refuses to disassociate himself with that religion, and but instead preaches his religion on a Muslim forum - What other option does he have but to say that lingam is not penis?
So here we are, listening that lingam doesn't mean a penis. I'm not surprised. ** It was only natural
If Lingam does not mean a penis, what does it mean then? NO running about in tangents please. And if it means something else, then : *(1) Why is it regarded by many Hindus to mean a penis? Why did this concept emerge at all in the first place? (2) Why do many Hindus worship the penis? (3)What proof or logic do you have that it means something else, and that it was always intended to mean something else? *
