You have no idea about the level of knowledge the Deobandi scholars have regarding Islam…

If the lady-who-got-divorced-in-sleep had no intention to split with her husband or to accept the ruling of the moulvi saab, then why did she even bother informing others about this? I can imagine her saas over-hearing the sleep-induced-talaaq and thinking "yayy! now is a good time to get rid of my bahu raani".
