That's how it often happens in dramas and in Pakistan; however, this isn't the way Islam has legislated a divorce to be carried out.
To the best of my knowledge, talaq consists of 3 parts. You could say one talaq and then have to wait for a menstrual cycle before you could give out the second one, and the third one is done in a similar manner.
If during these talaqs, the couple wishes to get back together then they can and there's nothing wrong with it. However, once the 3rd talaq is given then the nikkah is annulled.

Yeh it said in the papers too that the man was absolutely determined not to leave his wife after uttering talaq in his sleep. Maybe the wife oughto leave him, I have a feeling the dream which made him crack the joke wouldn't exactly make her smile if she could catch a glimpse.
It's a non issue neway since Islamic scholars have rejected the triple talaq theory.

Only Indian muslims can do that.. I sometimes what will Indian muslims do in the future. Look at these Khans.. not a single one comes with a really good movie plus they all married non-muslims.. their muslim cricketers- they tend to perform well against Pakistan when they should help by not playing well.. I sometimes this community will thrive at all or not.

Yeah it does but then she has to accept it and leave the home… Here in the US, my friend faaqir was in anger when he said talaaq to his wife deborah (who converted) and he was angry at himself after that but gettting re-married is complicated..
One question for you guppies- what if you type talaaq three times while chatting with your wife- is it considered a valid talaaq?

The Muslims who stayed back in India made an independent and conscious decision… this could be due to various reasons including perhaps their freedom to not assent to the so-called “2-Nation Theory”. There are millions of Muslims living in India who have no regrets for not moving to Pakistan then, and who don’t have any hidden yearnings to do so now.
